I believe at least one member here (Doggiesarethebest) has a wolf/GSD, Drake. He is a GORGEOUS dog!!
I love wolves, and I used to think I wanted a wolf hybrid...and I still would get one if it was one in need of a home, they can be great pets with the right owner....but I hate people breeding them.
Thanks
Oh by the way Nebo is soooo beautiful! very cute dog, I wish i had a Husky
Thanks! :D I believe I saw some pics of your dogs in another thread--very handsome!
Yeah i think i show'd them in my thread about my doggie scratching my door and biting me
Anyway, Good night everyone. I'll be dreamin about your doggie nebo :p
Zero, Buck is a handsome dog!
My dog Drake is a GSD/Wolf hybrid. He is a darling lil boy and I love him to pieces!! Drake was adopted when he was 4 months old. He is a handful and high maintenance, but we just love him! Wolf hybrids are great with the right owner. They require alot of training and work.
Your doggie is So beautiful! i'm makin' a thread about The smart things my dog has done, And ill post a few more pictures, I gotta take em first though :P
I had a malamute with an 8th of wolf in him. hes gone to the RB.

PLEASE don't get a dog, especially a *very* high maintenance/hard to handle a dog like a wolf hybrid, just because you think they are "cool." :mad:Quote:

I really want a Huskie Wolf mix~
Hello,
My Shadow is a Wolf/white shepard. He is TOTALLY insane. if he isn't friends with you he will attack you. he loves to show off with his tire (he has a tractor tire he chews on). When he is about to attack he wont say a word, he will sneak up behind you and attack... he did some pretty good damage to a friend of ours' behind...
I have a 50% German Shepherd/50% wolf dog. Her name is Zody and She's almost 6 months old. She is very energetic, loving and playful. She's harmless, but however, she gets excited very easy and will jump on you; which doesn't feel too good when her claws scrape you. I love her though and wouldn't trade her for the world.
Like Wolf_Q said... they are VERY high strung, high maintenance, and VERY hard to control, and, can be potentialy (sp?) dangerous... do yoursef a favor, don't get a wolf hybrid.... you don't know what you are getting yourself into...Quote:

She was only 12 y/o....I know that's old for a dog but it doesn't seem long enough.....
She was very protective of all of us and guarded the yard from strangers and other dogs. She was wonderful!!
Here is a picture of her

My hubby had a Wolf/Shepard mix, named Tiko, she was a great dog, and lived till she was 15yrs old. Hubby got her while he was on active duty, they were going to put her down, and she was only 3 months old, so he rescued her, and brought her home. Tiko was such a Calm dog, was great with people especially with kids. She was however one of those dogs, who you had to keep on a very short lead, cause she had a huge prey drive. She once got loose from hubby, and came home carrying a Fawn! Thankfully the baby was okay, and she was sent to a wildlife rehab, and was later realeased. But other than that, she was awsome! she was put down 4 years ago due to cancer. Hubby loved that dog.
I REALLY don't think this person comes on here anymore. This is from 2003 so no point in telling her that wanting a hyrbred because it's cool is wrong.;)
I have a Shepherd/Wolf. She is 9 and I have had her since she was a puppy and let me tell you, she is the exact opposite of everything that's being described here. She is low strung, easy to control and low maintenance. She was easy to train and she has always been calm and even around strangers.
I use to have a dog who was Collie/German Shepard/wolf. She was a beautiful dog and was a great pet. :)
