Are We Friends Yet?

As most of you know by now I've had my new cat Cirrus for a little over 3 weeks now. He's very relaxed and really seems to love his new home. :) Sunny is still playing the "I'm scared Mom" game. I have noticed that he's starting to give in a little more to Cirrus though. He's even initiated some chase sessions. Here are a few pics I took last night of Sunny and Cirrus. Cirrus really seems to like both Sunny and Storm but they still don't accept him in the same way that they did my RB Pepper.

Oh well, I like it here better by myself anyway.

This morning they were sitting here again and Sunny started licking Cirrus's head. It was too cute. :) I didn't have my camera ready for this though.

I am glad they are starting to get along better! I am sure after a little more time they will be closer than ever....

It's very cute to see how they get closer. Both are so handsome:)

It's happening! I love how Sunny looks a bit bemused in the first pic, but then gives Cirrus a curious sniff and seems to think he's not quite as bad as he tells his mummy :)

I love the pics! Sunny and Cirrus are gorgeous, and they're really getting closer now. :) In fact they seem to have accepted each other almost totally. :D

Awwwwww, you are so lucky to have such peace at your house. I hope I have the same here soon! I have had to keep my two apart for a couple of days and then at nights as they have been howling and fighting. I think it is their LAST STAND ... right now they are quiet.

I love all of the pictures and the progression of acceptance.....Sunny looks quite a bit like an Aby and I suspect has lots of Aby traits!

I always loved Sunny and I am glad he finally accepts Cirrus, this will make him happier (Sunny, I mean, but I am sure, Cirrus too ;) )

A picture is worth 1,000 words and you have said a lot here. I have been wondering how the transition was going and it looks to me like it's going beautifully. Your captions are so funny and probably pretty accurate in trying to get inside Sunny's mind. :D The one of them napping together says to me that there is some kind of trust forming, that is unless Sunny was sleeping with one eye open! :) More pictures please!

Great pictures. And licking of the head is a very good sign! They'll be cuddling soon.:D

I wish my two would do that! I'm glad they're getting along. It took my Ali a year before she would even come close to Jack w/o hissing at him. :eek: My two definitely get along better now, but Ali is the dominate one and still has times where she will hiss and take a swat at Jack.

It will not take long and you will have some great cuddle shots. I can't wait for those.

Awwww...such great pictures! :) It's funny that through the whole progression of pictures, Cirrus just sat there so calm and relaxed. Sunny sniffed him and the look on his (Cirrus') was like "Whatever. Sniff if you must but I'm not going anywhere 'cause I like it here." :) I'm so glad they're starting to get along. And if Sunny was licking Cirrus' head, they might just be snuggling in no time. :) (and we will definitely need pictures of that!) :D

Those pictures are terrific! They are gettin on wonderfully. Sunny seems like such a delicate kitty and Cirus is much bigger. Like my two...

I just found out that he weighs a little over 13lbs. which is about what Storm weighs. Sunny weighs about 11lbs. Cirrus just looks very large next to Sunny since Sunny is fine boned since he's half aby. :)

Storm is getting along with Cirrus fairly well but he'll sometimes corner him or chase him until Cirrus hisses at him. I think that Storm is trying to let Cirrus know that he's the top cat around here. :)
