new cockatiel??

BABY GRAY cockatiel, 9 wks old, hand raised, ready in two weeks, $40. ***-****

they live right down the road from me..I am soo tempted....

please someone answer... :( I need advise on what I should do....

I think you should get the bird. Maybe you should see it first and check it out a little. And if you like it get it. But first think about your other pets and how they might react.:)

That is what i am thinking. I dont know how Spanky, my budgy would like a baby cockatiel. Cheeko would like it though :)

I would do gradual introduction of carse, i have an extra cage :) ..

If you have an extra cage that is good. Have you seen the birdie yet? I think you should get the bird, and if you do post LOTS of pics!!!!:D

you have a bird right? What typw is it? A cockatiel? Cheeko my cockatiel did fine when Homer my other female cockatiel was introduced then she died and now we have Spanks and he did fine with inroduction to both new birds. What do you think??

I have a quick question that i have been wondering about for a while.... When you have a female budgie and you want to buy a male budgie for like a friend or something for your female budgie, would the female try and hurt the male?

I am willing (more then willing) to care for this bird properly) I will pay for her my self, I have an extra cage i will not touch her and let her get used to sound and noises for the fist week and then Gradully I will pet her and get her used to me. Then I will place her cage next to Cheekos and Spankys and let them meet through the bars, then in about a week I will gradullly let her go into the cage BY her self on her own will to meet Cheeko and Spanky for the first time.

I will hand feed her broccoli and rice crispies and more!! I think I am ready, If you will give me your support..

Cheeko was always first to be introduced to new birds, He took well to Homer his white cockatiel that died, he also took very well to Spanky

good questiong tweety_pie, yes budies are flock birds they need a mate or friend. you could get another male or a female but remeber gradual introduction is important. ::)

I have heard that u can't house to females together or they will hurt each other :eek:

Personally I don't think you should get another one. But that is just my opnion. I think you should concentrate on the animals you have right now instead of adding more. I think your a very good mom to all of your pets but I don't think you need any more at this time.

point taken wolf_Q, I want a tortoise still. I dought I'll get one though because thye are illegal in canada, it is basically just a dream.

I am not going to keep Cuddles last pup anymore because she is nice and healthy and I have a good home set up for her.

When I saw this add in the paper I knew i just couldent resist, But I desuded to ask you all fist for support or disagreement.

I am glade you gave me your opinion popcornbird and wolf_Q. I will concentrate on the pets I have now, I just wanted oppinions thats all. I will always be getting pets, always, I love them, I cannot ever have enough, I need councelling for it I think lol.

:( My Friends Birdie just died :( My friend just called me and told me her Budgie Romeio just died about 20 minutes ago. She went upstairs to check on Romeio and he was at the bottom of his cage just lying there:( He was only three years old:(

Yeppers Tweety is a parakeet/budgie

Tweety is so funny ... I let her out of her cage and she flew on the ground to where one of my dogs was lying down and my dog (her name is Honey) got scared and started to walk away and Tweety waddled after her oh my gosh it was so FUNNY lol :D

I think that another bird is a great idea! :) You are obviously craving more pets, so maybe another cockitiel is just what you need :p

Tortoises are illegal in Canada?! :eek: I didn't even know that...What about just regular little turtles? I had a friend who had a bunch of those..

turtles are also illegl in Canada well in B.C anyways. It is sooo dum. I wish they were not illegal, the conservation offercers say that ducks and torts and turtles and wild birds are illegal .. They take them away if they find out you have them :(.. they are indangered and or ment to be in the wild I guess.

I remember you were going to get another cockatiel a short time ago. Why'd you decide against that one? Do your same reasons for deciding against it still apply?

I have the same problems with getting more animals. Working in a pet store doesn't help...I am able to provide for all of them, but I'm never going to get any money saved up at this rate!
