http://www.cattledog.com/misc/images/burt_found.jpg <THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME BREED.. most ppl dont know that :)
the second pic was an Austrailian Cattle dog
Blueheller is just another name for Australian Cattle Dog....
<blue heeler: Also known as the Australian Cattle Dog. The blue heeler is considered one of the world's greatest working stock dogs. It was developed in the 1830's. The breeds that were involved in it's development are: the dingo, blue merle collies, dalmations, australian kelpies, old english sheepdogs and an obscure breed called the Smithfield. The coat is dense and short. The color is blue, blue mottled, or red speckled. The average blue heeler weighs about 40 lbs. and is 19 inches tall at the shoulder. The blue heeler is also known as the australian heeler, australian cattle dog, or red heeler.
Why not wait until you move, then go to a shelter with your dog and see who gets along together? Consider rescuing a dog, and if you still want a pure-bred, there are rescue organizations for almost every breed of dog out there.
yup they are the same breed all right :p I like blue hellers they are cuties.... :)
yes, why not do this? our spca does have alot of purered dogs...Quote:

unless ur thinking of wanting a well bred dog to use in conformation or something?
Thanks Karen :)
I was also considering adopting a pet from the spca.. :) that would be cool and I would be interested in adopting and giving a dog a new home.. :) That is most likely what ill do :) :p Thanks for posting that .. :) http://64.207.13.28/mysmilies/kao/msroom/u-chu.gif
Thanks again :D

I have to recommend a Labrador Retirever....:D :D ;) ;) :p :p
Baised on my encounters/expriences with these breeds this is what I have to say:
My dad's friend, Jim, has a Blue Heeler- and it is a sweetheart.
Brittanys are very good house dogs, and are exceptionally affectionate. My neighbor had to put their Husky to sleep because it attacked their kid (ripped flesh from arm) and other dog, I wouldn't get a Husky. Malamutes I'm not too fond of, my old neighbors Malmute gave me a bad vibe, and turned me off of the breed. It was extremely/wayyyy too protective, and would try and attack every person that came in the yard/house. I couldn't even mow the lawn 5 feet from the fence because it would snap and lunge at me. Judy had a Cocker, and it peed everytime someone walked in the door, and would jump and snap at her baby (took it to the pound :( ). I wouldn't get a Chow Chow if you have another dog, they should be kept in a household with no other dogs - they are VERY aggressive also (obviously, every Chow is different tho, everyone I've see were vicious). Chows are terrible with kids too.
No personal expreiences with Bullterriers and Akitas...I think they are cute though.
really? i know that malamutes are one of the worst dogs for biting, but they r not generally protective at all :confused:Quote:

I have owned malamutes.. They are great family dogs if you have no other pets...
As for huskys being visiouse HA  that is rediculas who's ever husky that was that ripped flesh off a persons arm,, That dog must have been abused.. Cockers are silly, they do pee and poop in the house often .. (they are almost impossible to train)
I am GREATLY OFFENDED about you saying that huskys are visiouse.. Mine isnt she is a dareling.. http://64.207.13.28/mysmilies/contri.../confangry.gif
This dog was evil. His name was Lambardy (sp??). He was so evil, we were thinking about calling Animal Control. Plus, the man who owned him was a giant @$$. He would leave for work around 6 am and got home around 8 pm- and would take the dog to the corner and back for its "walk". Lambardy would sit on the inclosed porch all day and whowwwwllll for hours. And in the summer, it was unbearable (sp) to go anywhere near his yard, because of the stench of the dog poop, that the man hadly ever cleaned up. I do know for a fact that he does not have the dog anymore. He got rid of it after we moved out.

Idiots .. If the dog was well looked after and trained and actully had some love given to it, that would have never happend.. Hukys are the sweetest dogs you can ever own I would suggest them to anyone looking for a first breed..I really feel sorry for that poor husky !! http://216.40.249.192/mysmilies/cont.../headshake.gif
i didnt mean biting in general, just fatality...malamutes are number 8 on the bite fatality list..Quote:

Hey, hey, hey. This is NOT a place to denigrate any breed, nor to take personally anothers' feeling about a breed. Do a "search" for the type you're thinking of on Dog of the Day, and you'll find that ANY breed can be a great dog.Quote:
