It's so cute when Filou rolls up to a purrfect ball. I am sure others do that as well.

Edwina's tortellini is not as neat as that of Filou!

How about a double tortellini in two flavours.
Sas, Filou and Miley/Graemer -whoever it is- are candidates for the next "Who am I" game. I showed it to Siegmar, covering your name and signature with my hands and he asked: Did you just take that picture?
Lailamara, your Yin and Yang Tortellini is supercute.
Sara, Edwina looks really comfy there.
They are very close in color and shape! I think that was Graemer, about a month ago. They are sleeping on similar blankets as well. I think Graemer is on a sheep skin rug! I can tell the difference when looking at the two photos at the same time, but apart, I don't think I would notice the slight difference in color/shade of fur!
Aren't those Abys just the cutest?

wow! A PERFECT tortellini cat!
I look at this picture and can't help myself....you know in movies when they show people attempting to sniff their armpits to see if they, well, you know......this picture takes confidence in one's own personal grooming to a new high! :):D
Not much tortenilli here , but have some thou

HAHAHAHA - I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw it, but I was hesitant to mention it - is that what they mean by "brown-nosing" ;) ?Quote:

Just kidding, of course - beautiful kitty and a lovely pose!
These guys are making a lemniscate (infinity sign).:DQuote:

Aren't they all cute!? You just wish you were there to cover them with kisses :)
Whenever Filou sleeps like that I feel like kissing him but then I don't want to disturb him.......
But when he lifts his little head I sure give him some kisses:)
I'm sure you've heard of cheese tortillini, but how 'bout Peanut tortillini?
Here's an example so you know what to look for at the grocery store next time.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...7/fccc6ce0.jpg
:D
The tortillini is one of Tubby's favorite sleeping positions also, but I guess I never got it on film. He looks like such a sweety in that position that I guess I never wanted to bother him. :D
They're all so cute! :p Fister in Tortelini position. I love it when he has his paw over his eye.

Oh, Fister does the Inverse Tortellini :D
Ritz doesn't "tortellini" as much as she did when she was younger...but she does get the "paws over the eyes" thing going, and does a variation of the tortellini with three of her paws "stacked" together out in front of her - we refer to it as "bundle footing"Quote:

Peanut....that picture made me go awww...and..chuckle a little...what is that thing you are sleeping in/on.....I'm warped, I know, but it looks like a carpet condom :)
Yup, gotta use the proper protection with these kitties you know. ;) :DQuote:

I call it her "pad" although I don't know what the official name of it is. I got it at Petco for about $10.00 and she absolutely loves it! She will even come upstairs and sleep there in the evenings now, which she never used to do before "the pad" arrived.
I had to get Tubby a bigger one because he didn't fit in that one, and Peanut had claimed that as her own anyway. In this picture you can see better what it is because Tubby doesn't quite fill it all the way up. He still has plenty of room for Samantha to join him. ;) :) Tubby's I got at PetSmart and I believe it was $12.99 or so. He likes it too, but not as much as Peanut likes hers. Maybe Ritzy needs a "carpet condom" of her own. :D

He is being politically correct and covering up the name of the company so there is no unoffical advertising going on. ;) :)
Oh Tubster, you are such a proper gentle-tom!Quote:

Hmmm. one for Ritzy is tempting, but it looks like it is made out of that faux sheepskin or shearling material - my experience with that substance has been given a big thumbs down by Ritz. She does like the Purr Padds though, and I think those things feel awful, like the inside of a furnace filter or one of those buffing pads on floor cleaners, but go figure a cat out and win a prize! :)
Hmmm...carpet condom...LOL. I never thought of it that way, but that's what it looks like. My guys have a larger version for 2-guess it's not very 'safe' when 2 are using the same one at the same time!
Hee, hee, hee! Thats for sure!Quote:

I'd bought one with a fabric outside and faux fleece inside and Livvy loves it. Cassy didn't want anything to do with it, but he would chase Livvy out of it. (Chivalry is NOT his middle name.) I figured to heck with it and got another one for the computer room when Livvy comes to visit... Now Cassy LOVES that one! Cats! I can't figure them out.
I was skeptical too because they have just never liked/played with/slept on anything I've ever bought for them before. That's why Peanut's still has the tag on it in the picture. I wanted to make sure she - or Tubby - were going to use it before I tore the tag off so I could return it if they didn't like it. I saw those purr pads too, and thought about buying one of those, but I thought the same thing you did about how they feel. These looked more appealing to me so I tried them. They are that fake sheepskin stuff.Quote:

The trick to getting them to use it was to put it in a spot they normally slept. Peanut normally sleeps under that table when her daddy is home working, so I thought she might be a bit like this under the table, and sure enough - she adores it. Tubby's I bought because he likes to sit in his "crows nest" (from the loft overlooking the living room) and the carpet gets black from all his hair. So I thought if I put this thing there, at least the carpet wouldn't get black, but he had nothing to do with it while it was there. I moved it to one of his favorite sleeping spots, and now he's in it all the time. 'Course, he was in that spot all the time before the pad, but now I like to think he goes there because of the pad. Probably wishful thinking on my part, but he does seem to enjoy it. Guess I'll have to move it tonight to see if he'll move with it. :) :D

Oh if twer only that easy! I put something new in one of Ritzy's usual sleeping spots and she just finds another sleeping spot. I even left one of those sheepskin things for months, she stopped sleeping there...so I moved it, and of course, she's sleeping there again.
The Purr Padd is also not without it's mystery. She loves the one in the upstairs office window, so I decided to put the second (came in a 2 pack) downstairs, as you said, to keep the black fur at bay that tends to collect like little feline "crop circles" on the various favored furniture. Of course, she wanted nothing to do with THIS particular purr padd..she shoved it off onto the floor. However, said purr padd has since become one of her favorite "toys" She runs crazy into the room and "hides" under it, lying in wait (except for that big butt and tail that stick out) for an unsuspecting mommy toe!
About the only thing I can use as a sure-fire lure is a towel warmed up in the dryer (yup, major spoiled cat here)...that is the only way I can lure her into my lap, also. b ut at night, when she wants to get warm, she crawls into bed with me and curls up by my side.
Ritzy's motto "I'll get what I want, when I want, how I want it" ...repeat after me I AM THE CAT!

This is Samantha's favorite position to sleep in.:)
What do you think Tubby, will she make a perfect fit right next to you in the spot you saved for her.;)
I love Fister's right and left handed tortellini pics! I'm a chemist so it conjured up images of Organic Chem I and studying right and left handed molecules.
We were given a “carpet condom” by a friend once (though I must admit I hadn’t thought of it as such!). It had been slept in before, and Fister took to it instantly. We let him take it with him when he was sent to a “House of Cages”, and after that he would have nothing to do with it for weeks. When we forced his hand by placing it in his favourite position under the bed, he finally accepted and started using it again. It’s still under the bed, but he doesn’t use it much anymore, he sleeps with us up in bed every night now, and has got a new wickerwork bed under the telephone table. The fact that it’s a bit small has never worried him in the least!

I am convinced that Filou would love a "carpet condom" too. He loves everything where he fits in tightly: Here he is doing the Basket Tortellini:
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...9/fcc37403.jpg
You may notice that the sense of turning is also different as in the first picture, so it should be called the Inverse Basket Tortellini :D :D
Am I losing it or what? Wasn't this just posted by Randi with John signing it? Now I see it's posted by that new person Jonza - whoever that is. ;) :DQuote:

BTW, Jonza, I love your Fister eyes signature. :)
Oh, and I also love the way Fister "overflows" his "carpet condom." Peanut does that with hers now and then and it looks like she's being poured out. ;) :)
Kylie doesn't really lay like a tortellini, she lays more like limp sphaghetti or macaroni!!http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...3/fcb594b9.jpg

One thing I've noticed on this thread (besides the fact that I want to smooch all of these kitties repeatedly ;) ) is how beautiful the Aby fur is. It reminds me of otter fur; very thick, glossy, and richly colored. It must be a delight to pet them!
Oh yes it is.... Filou is wearing pure silk.....:) :)
But it isn't that thick. Tigris with his Siberian heritage has much more underwool -and he's also soft as silk.
Yes abys are wonderful silky beauties!!!:D
Finally got a picture of Tortellini Tubby. :D
