I Rescued Ocean!

(guys, don't get :confused:, this thread started in january 2003 -- the same week I registred! ...but more updates are below :))

Hello!

Guess what?! I adopted a new sweet and hyper 3 months-old black male kitten today! I'm naming him Ocean Dolce, he already drank a lot of water! I always see a completely black ocean under the moon nearby my home, hope someday he is able to see it from our window. Dolce means "sweet" in Italian :) Surprisingly, Ocean Dolce already got along with my dog, Mocha and my cat, Zephyra instantly...what a relief! Here's a foto of him, will post the better one after he's awake! Enjoy...

A new kitty, yeah !! Ocean is a wonderful name and sucha hansome boy. Have fun, they grow up so fast.

He's adorable. I'm looking forward to seeing more photos of him in the future.

You'd mentioned wanting to rescue a handicapped cat. Does Ocean have health issues, or did you change your mind?

Ocean is sooooo cute and black!!!! Do you think he will have short hair or medium lenghted hair? I really couldn't tell to closely in the photo.

What a cutie he is! Of course I'm kinda partial to the blackies out there. ;) I hope this doesn't preclude you from looking into getting Sweet Pea. I know I'd take Sweet Pea in a heartbeat if I was looking for a kitty and was in California. Glad to hear Ocean fit in so well already.

Yippee! A new kitty!

Thanks! Ocean just mew back to you guys and is telling you that he loves here! No, Ocean doesn't have any health problem, I was already on a progess to adopt Ocean (about an month ago). They, the animal shelter couldn't let me have Ocean until he's a little older - his mother died after I know I'll get one of her furbabies. :(

About Sweet Pea, no, I'm not giving up on that dearfur, I gotta contact that person after I could find a day that I can go down on a long trip and take him and to check on him!! It was the weekend too, didn't thought sweet pea's shelter was opened, still can't wait! (I'm going to check this thread "3-legged/1-eyed cats", hope someone who owns sweet pea replied back). I will let you know at that thread...cross fingers for me! Thanks again.

I promised you guys for some more pictures of Ocean! here he is... he's a grown man, VERY sweet as always. I'm having a >>hard<< time finding out why I always miss him even when he is just about a few feet away from me!

I got my catsquad neew bluee cat-castle last june, they just play crazily over it! I can't wait to have a immense house and buy many, many of them. cat flights will be champ and free show!! ;) :D

well ..actually now I'm back for third time (last march) I have thirteen now lol.

when I was on pet talk site from..

January 2003 - February 2003 = four cats
Aug 2004 - Aug 2004 = eight cats
March 2005 - Present = thirteen dears, my dear!

How things change in 2 Years.BJ,has gone on,and Scrappy 2,and Ragnar,have entered my Life.And Ocean,is a wonderful Cat,he has really grown,into a Wonderful Comapnion Cat!

thank you! yeah..it has been two years.. he has been the same, NEVER being sick. except almost being killed by a gas leak when I was out for more than six hours, that includes all other cats too. scary...GEEZ! catmandu, I'm still learning your all cats' interesting names! still confused with them lol - learning names impaired :p

oh yeah, in VERY beginning when I adopted him, I named him 4853724 instead of his SPCA name "raider" but at the office of vet's when he gave me 11 ringworms that were carried from SPCA and had four ringworms himself (no, I didn't forget!!!) vet told me that the box they type in name, couldn't accept the numbers ...so *there* Ocean is! :)

He has certainly grown into a handsome boy, Gina!!!! :)
