Hey, I was just wondering what your music tastes are is Avril Lavigne Hot or not? I know her new hit "Im with you" totally rocks. Sk8ter Boi and Complicated are totally up on the music chart. I guess I don't *get it*. How is she the "anti-britney"? She's just like her, different clothes, etc. It's still mainstream music, which seems to be what she's against.
I also can't stand her skater vs. preppy thing. How old is that? Skater culture has been *cool* for ages now, far more than being preppy.
She is good, her music that is. I agree with Soledad. I think her music is good, but not HER.

I tend not to take too much interest in who sings the songs I like. I'm not even sure if the radio stations I listen to play her music?

I think she's really great :D And I don't really care about looks in a singer.. if I like how they sound it doesn't make a difference what they look like to me.
I'm not really a big fan. That song skater boy kind of annoys me.
Her songs are waaaaaay overplayed and she really annoys me. It seems like she's trying SOOOOO hard to convey an image instead of just being HERSELF. I wish she'd just chill out. I run out of the room screaming when she comes on tv, hehe :)
I have no idea what she looks like, nor do I care, really. I've only heard one of her songs, "Complicated", and I REALLY like that song. So ... I guess I'm not much help, here, am I? ;)
it depends on my mood. Sometimes I like her other times I don't. I got a little sick of listening to her though when the guy I work with in the back put her cd on repeat. Have to show her a little bit of support though, after all she is a fellow Canadian.
I don't like her music at all. Especially Complicated! They play it wayyyyyy too much. I don't like that kind of music though.
The only song I've ever heard of her's is "Complicated", and I hated it.
From what I heard she is trying to give off the impression that she's a punker, anarchist and anti-pop; but she fails miserable. Just as everyone else, she's just trying to make money.
I like her songs, she seems pretty cool, but she also seems like a..er...snot or something. I watched these awards once where the ppl from american idol gave her an award, and kelly went to give her a hug, and she pushed her out of the way and grabbed the award..lol
That's because she's one of thoose new artist that come out, has a few hits, and all of the sudden thinks they're better then everyone.... kind of like Ashanti thinking she's the new Hip Hop's princess.
