New indy car, new noses in F-1.
New engines in Indycar bringing competition back.
Really looking forward to this year!
Let's go racin boys!!!! ;)
I saw him race a sprint car in a World of Outlaw race YEARS ago. I miss those days.....dirt clots being thrown up into the stands.........loud cars..........the accidents.
Taz, you should come to Ohio and go to Eldora with us! It's a great dirt track. Every year Tony Stewart (he owns it) holds the Prelude to the Dream. Kasey is always there along with many other drivers who do it for the fun and to raise money for different foundations.
Richard I'm so stoked about the NASCAR season starting! We've already gotten our tickets to Kentucky, Darlington and of course Eldora:D
If anyone happens to be going to Nascar in Vegas in March we'll be there. I've never gone before but Corby has been a few times, should be fun. :)
Budwiser shoot-out tonight! It's time to go racing boys!
Amy, that is so cool! Vegas is one race I would love to go to! Hope you enjoy it. Wear comfortable shoes, take plenty of sunscreen and don't forget the earplugs!
I don't think it was supposed to be a demolition derby last night, was it??? That was Jeff's first roof ride I think. Bet he's feeling it today. :p
hopefully somebody will learn how to wreck Kyle properly next week
Dale Jr can bite me.;)
I picked up a copy of USA Today and it looks like it's going to be the Danica 200.....
I think I'll skip the race. I wonder if she was allowed to win the pole, just to get people to watch?
Richard, did you do a rain dance so the race will be rained out? If so, it's working!!! :D
I think NASCAR needs to change the design on their track dryers.......
Fuel cell, anyone?
Just because I am the luckiest man on the planet does not mean I have any pull with the 'gods of weather'.
The delay after the JPM crash was so long, I forgot to watch the end of the race......:(

LH,
You figure they can keep fighter aircraft from flaming up?
I wonder if they would mandate the location of the FC pickup, too?:p
Wouldn't the pickup have to be in the pickup?
From the looks of it that tank was just a diamond plate tank like you buy for farm equipment. SHould have been a bladder setup like is on the cars. That's not the first time the safety crew has taken a hit, just the most spectacular.
And....the obligatory bad humor from teh web:
How many Columbians does it take to stop a NASCAR race?
Only Juan.
I'll have to link the article later, but I just saw Ryan Newman is visiting Best Friends in Utah while they are out west this weekend. A camera crew is going along and it will be a story in the pre-race to help bring more awareness to animal rescue. Go Newman!
And other bad joke...what are the odds of htting a jet dryer on the track?
Juan in 42
Here's the link to the article:
