EXCELLENT!!!!! Thank you, Candace!
Haha, gotta admit.. the "What Windows users think of Macs" one hits home for me. :P Very funny!
*snerk* Too funny!
haha, love the Blue screen of death for the windows one! That's so true of how I think.
Macs
I don't hate Windows, but I can't stand Windows anymore after converting to Macs! Will never go back to it, I am forever a Mac user. :)
Wait until you all see Windows 8. It is VERY, VERY early beta that I have access to due to being a Microsoft partner.
All I can say is its gonna change some things. Imagine your profile going from you phone, to your Xbox, to your PC and then back to your phone. Same data, same look, same apps... It is going to revolutionize the workplace because your workplace can literally be anywhere you want it to be.
iCloud is going to look like a tinker toy by comparison. (I use iCloud and I like it, BTW.)
To hell with that. I live out in the boonies for a reason. I do NOT want that kind of "accessibility" and find it incredibly narcissistic for people to think they're that bloody important that they need to bring work home with them on their phone.
It just ain't that damned important.
Work is work, home is home, and the two don't mix.
I want my phone to be a phone, I want my computter to be a computter.
Yes it is.
For those of us who dont have a union to secure us.... We work 70 hours a week, for reason.
Better yet, my wife and my family understand how and why I work. I NEED to be connected, 24x7. 14 people and their families depend on me. Its the cross I bear to be FREE dude. No union. No master. ME.
The 2 DO mix. They do. You just have to learn how to make it work. We have.
Fire away.... But your attitude shows why unions are bad for the economy.
^^^Linux user and looks about right to me.

Do they each have their own keyboard and mouse or do you use a switch?
The Developer Pre Release, or something closer to Alpha? I thought the beta wasnt due till CES 2012. The pre release is still pretty clunky but I see the potential for Winslow users and businesses, everything with one OS. If they pull it off it will be a huge WIN.
ETA: Just reread the Developers Release, its a late Alpha build.
Do I need to be connected 24/7/365? Yes. I'm a freelance photographer and artist. But my main reason? I'm deaf. How else am I going to be able to communicate with people? I don't talk on the phone. It's unbelievably tough for me to do that. It is a whole bunch of gibberish when I try. I'm thankful for email, cell phones (texting plan, of course), and computers. I don't know what I would do if I had no access to any of it. Technology is incredible that way.
This thread has shown the difference between the Entrepreneur, and the Union.
Has the Post Office endorsed #OWS?
This thread hasn't shown that at all.
You have no idea what I've done or how long I've worked.
What this thread shows is how easy it is to stroke one's own ego and paint with broad brushes.
First, I had no idea what in hell you were talking about with the hash tag. I don't twitter, facebook, etc.
Second, "The Postal Union" doesn't exist.
BTW, what's the biggest failure a leader can make, Puck.......Leadership 101, think about it....
Why 70 hour weeks should never exist for competent business leaders, and why there should be no reason whatsoever to be connected 24/7/365 for business purposes.
No hash tag was intended my apologies. #OWS=Occupy Wall Street. ETA: I dont twitcher, Facepalm, etc, either. Again sorry for confusing Luddites, and yourself.
You are Union, correct? You work for the Post Office, correct? The Union you are a part of, that works for the Post Office exists, the name of it doesnt matter.
Given that:
1) The IS an International Postal Union, which goes by that name (but isn't probably what you think it is)
2) There are at least 6 Unions/associations which represent Postal employees (not counting teamsters contract carriers, etc)
3) Each Union is made up of Locals, each with their own executive boards, and each executive board has their own voice
The terminology does matter.
Awesome!
Fantastic!Quote:

Fawtacular!!!WIN!!!Quote:

You are beholden to a union, how does that make you free?
How am I "beholden" to anyone?
I am a member in a Union. I'm also an officer in a Union.
None of which makes me "beholden" to the union for anything.
I understand completely what the word means.
I'm still trying to understand how a Union member is anymore "beholden" to anyone than a non Union member?
I rely on my Union to get what I get?
Entschuldigen zie bitte?
The Union didn't teach me the skills to get the job, didn't take the test for me, didn't go to interviews for me.
You purposely are failing to understand. I'm not being obtuse at all, I'm being clear as crystal.
I'm not beholden to them for anything. It so happened that a job I wanted was a Union represented job in a business which I have found much to my displeasure desperately needs a Union or Unions (look up the great postal strike and the reasons for it........).
There is work outside the postal service, there is life outside the postal service. It is a means to an end, not the end itself.
You are a Union Member. I am not a Union Member. The Union makes your decisions for you. I make my own decisions.
If the Union decides you need to be in contact 24/7/365, you will have no choice. But wait, you are a Union Officer, you make the rules then? I can understand your position now. The Union Rules dont apply to you because you make the rules as an Officer?
To make it simple.
Union Mindset: group think.
Individual Mindset: self think.
The above is my opinion, and you continue to prove it to me as proof.
I do not get, and probably never will, the union mindset. I dont need some dic in a suit to negotiate my pay and benifits. I can do that on my own.
The Union makes my decisions for me? Damn, thanks for telling me. ROFLMAO!
If the Union decides I have to be in contact 24/7/365 they can kiss my lily white......
It has nothing to do with me being an officer or a member. I don't like the rules? Very simple, I leave the Union.
English good speakly command you language have.Quote:

Since you are an officer you get to make those decisions. I bet you are laughing.
Again you are an officer, you make the rules.Quote:

If I made the rules I woudnt leave either.Quote:

I do. Your Yoda speak sucks.Quote:
English good speakly command you language have.
1) wasn't yoda speak.
2) You repeatedly question my integrity by stating that as I make the rules, I don't have to follow them.
Go screw yourself. Integrity does exist.
Mine was, and yours sucked
Dont feel alone, I view all of you union members as Marxist or socialist. Your posts are not changing my opinion.Quote:

I really hope you are the exception to the rule but your posts are not making me very hopefull that union members value freedom.Quote:

ETA: You are still using Windows 98 or earlier arent you.
I must be the oddest damned marxist in History.
I'll just add that to the pile of labels I've earned, mostly incredibly contradictory, and laugh.
I think about the only thing I haven't been called lately is a trotskyite..........I'll have to work on that one. Other than that, Nazi, Facist, John Bircher, lib, repugnican, I think I've got 'em covered.
Btw, in answer to you OS inquiry, I'm using DOS 4.00.
For the record I am in a union and am on call 24/7, those two things are not connected.
You arent. You as a union member are pretty common.

I believe I called you a Luddite.
Come on guys be civil.
