Sweet Kallie crossed the Rainbow bridge this morning

This morning we gave up our precious Kallie to the Rainbow Bridge. Kallie was a precious soul that came to us 17 years ago. Since she was not afraid of us we assumed she was abandoned, and estimated she was around a year old when she came into our heart. For the last few years Kallie had lost her sight and her hearing, a side effect of Diabetes. She adapted well to the small world that became her home. Kallie had our bedroom, bath, and Sunroom memorized even thought she depended on bumping into things to find her way. Over the past year she had developed renal failure, and in spite of our efforts, she slowly wasted away to but skin and bones.

Her sisters Katiebug and KK and brothers Fritz and Hobo welcomed her home when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning.

Kallie you were loved and will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace, pretty Kallie, your lovely colors will again shine in the sunlight up at the Rainbow Bridge, where you'll be happy and healthy again.

I am sorry for your loss. What a pretty girl! She had a wonderful life, all those years with you and your family.

Such a beautiful Calico girl. She enjoyed a good life w/you and even though she couldn't see or hear you towards the end, she could feel your love and that's what counts. I know how much you'll miss her after 17 wonderful years. RIP, sweet Kallie and peace to your humans. :love:

I am so sorry for your loss of such a long-time furry family member :( Kallie was a beautiful calico and she knew where to look for help when she was abandoned all those years ago. Sadly, time flies by, and then we have to say our last goodbyes, at least for now. Kallie is healthy again and playing at the Rainbow Bridge with all the other Pet Talk kitties who greeted her, and she's waiting for the day when you will cross together.

I hope the memories of all the happy times you had with Kallie and thoughts of how brave she was when she lost her sight and hearing will bring you comfort in the days ahead. She knew she was loved right through her last moments with you.
