Sayuki is the name of the only American Geisha Girl in Japan. I loved the name, which is for a girl. But since he's a boy (I never thought I'd adopt another male) the first thing I thought of was Austin, as in Austin Powers. When Holly brought Austin in the room with his sister, a semi-furred tortie, she said my face lit up like a Christmas tree. She said she knew that I'd pick him.
He's doing well with the other kitties. Maya Linn and Shortie hiss at him. Buddy and LuLu are very curious. But other than that, every thing is fine.
I promise to post more pictures. Now all I need is to have my signature changed.

Not to change the subject - but did you get Murphy's blood test results back today? I didn't see any update in that thread - just a little worried about her - that's all.

Murphy has hyperthyroidism. Her T-cells were very high. Normal is 4. Hers is up to 11. He put her on an antiobiotc for a possible infection. He's also prescribing the transdermal cream for her ear. He says her white cell count is elevated which is indicative of an infection. He gave her a shot of benedryl to stop the itching/hair pulling.
Maya Linn has allergies and a possible sinus infection. He gave her a shot of cortisone. He also prescribed ammoxi/cortisone comfo. Both girls are doing well.
Murphy will probably be on the transdermal cream for the duration of her life.
Another PT'er that couldn't resist adopting a kitten. Welcome to the club.:) I had a feeling that it involved a Sphynx because of the name Sayuki but I didn't know it would be a kitten.

Austin is doing very well. His appetite is amazing!!! He slept under the covers with me last night. Talk about working up a sweat!!! This boy can throw off heat!!!
He got up this morning around 6:30 and ate another can of Fancy Feast Kitten. My cats have accepted him quite well. Don't know if it's because they were used to MooShoo or because he's just a baby.
Welcome cutie pie Austin. You have been choosen by one of the best kitty mommys. You wil l be spoiled and loved and pampered, as it should be. In ruturn you will give mommy much laughter and love.
I cannot think of anything more special then a kitten. Puppies come in a close second as do buns of course, but kittens they are a slice of heaven, a precious gift from God. Congrats Donna.
WOW Donna Austin is so darn cute, and you are taking on a baby, well that takes some courage, just kidding, he is simply stunning, and i am very happy for you, glad that the other kitties are tolerating him quite well, sure makes for an easier life doesn't it? I love my new little cousin Austin, he's so cute and so little! Buddy and Lulu never said anything about getting a new baby brother on our Catmobile trip. They did help out a lot with taking care of the babies that did come and did great with them. I'm happy to know that my fellow kitties at your house are being nice to Austin and not teasing him. I can't wait until he can join us on a Catmobile trip. Oh yeah, please remind him to give us his number when he gets his cell phone, okay?

Nice to meet ya! I'm doing okay. I really like it here! Meowmie and I cuddle at night and I'm still trying to master how to get DOWN from the top of the cat tree.
The other kits are way cool!! I've been hissed at, but everyone's been really great!! Meowmie even left me alone with them to run an errand and no one beat me up.
