Our Butter is missing

We haven't seen Butter since around 10 pm Monday night. He asked to go out and I let him go.
We are going through all the right efforts to find him and have solicited the help of our neighbors and friends, but if you would, please say a prayer for his safety and that if something has happened to him, he didn't suffer in pain.
Those of you who have been here as long as I have been know the stories of Butter and our mutual understanding that he simply would not be an indoor only cat. He was a stray, semi-feral boy who welcomed the chance to live in our home, but it has always been on his terms. He is probably pushing 15 years in age now, but other than some skin issues, has been in perfect health and has actually been a rather nice boy in his later years. I love him so much and I know many of you have come to love him, too, through the years.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. If anything changes, I will be sure to post here. And for those of you who have been posting on Facebook, thank you so much for your support.

Our Awesome Angels Companions Army Search and Rescue Squad is on the job, and we pray that they have Butter home soon.
Thats so scary when a Pet is missing , I will never forget when Moose the MagnfiCat took a two month leave of absence and I would run to see if he was there.:eek::eek:

Oh Logan, I hope nothing bad has happened to Butter. Have you tried going out looking for him when all is quiet in the area? That's when you are most like ly to find him.

Come on home Butter. I know the spring weather might be making you wander a bit too much, but meowmie is really worried about you. Time to head for home and all the comforts you can find there.

I will be praying for Butter in all the ways I prayed for Bean when he was missing. I know all too well the pain and anxiety that goes along with an indoor/outdoor cat. Hopefully, Butter is just really enjoying this nice spring weather and will come home. Bean was gone 10 days in March and came home. Cats really are like homing pigeons.

Have you also posted missing cat posters at the Golf Course behind your house?

Logan, I am so sorry to hear that your Butter has gone missing. I hope that silly kitty comes home soon. You should not have to worry! Maybe he is sitting in a garage, with the door closed. That is always a fear of mine....that I lock my own or a neighbor's cat in my garage!

I'm so sorry to hear that Butter is missing. Many prayers are already being prayed to St. Francis, the patron saint of animals, to lead Butter home safe and sound.

No sign of Butter yet, but thank you all for your prayers for his safe return. I keep hearing stories of these miracle cats who show back up after being gone a long time. It is just so unlike Butter to leave in the first place, let alone stay away. He is not scared of anything, so I wouldn't think that he is hiding or frightened. I just don't know.
Zoe, to answer your question, we have put up signs everywhere, and Butter was wearing his collar and id tag. I did discover last night, after a call from my mom, that one of our handsets for our home phone was off the hook and since we hardly ever use that phone, we had no idea! Mom said she had called and called and the line kept being busy. Henry and Bo had apparently knocked the phone off the table several days ago. That's the number that is on his tag, so if someone tried to call, I wouldn't have known it. Hopefully someone will call today. Scott is at home recovering from surgery so he is listening for it.
I'll keep you posted if there is any word on our big boy. I went back in the archives and read the posts from when I found him yesterday. I loved that boy from day one, even though I have told you horrible stories about him over the years. He is very precious to me and I'm not sure anyone else could have ever tolerated or loved him the way I have. I continue to pray for him to come home safely.

Again, I totally relate. Bean is quite a handful and really a miserable cranky cat when he's inside :rolleyes: but he loves his mommy and I love him. It broke my heart when he was missing. You have to keep reminding yourself of what a great life you have given Butter and that he has it better than so many others.

Please come home, Butter! We all want you to go home and make your family happy! We miss you guys and get scared and worried when you are missing.:(

I think a lot of my kitty friend Butter and hopes he comes home :)
