RIP my precious MooShoo

It is with a VERY heavy heart that I'm writing this. I was in bed sound asleep when I heard a cat yowling. I woke to find my precious MooShoo laying on the floor. He couldn't get up. At first I thought it was just a plain old cat fight.

I put him (after being bitten) into a carrier and rushed him to the hospital. By the time I got there (it was only a 20 minute ride) the yowling stopped. The vet confirmed that MooShoo passed over to the rainbow bridge. I am absolutely beside myself, as he was my soulmate. I feel like a part of me has died.

It's now 2 a.m. and I can't sleep, as he would sleep wrapped in my arms every night.

What am I going to do without him?????? The vet said he had a heart attack. He was only 10 years old!!

He's being cremated and his ashes will be returned to me. They will also make a paw print for me.

I am just beside myself right now. I lost 4 cats in less than 5 months. MooShoo died the day before my 57th birthday. Yet another holiday that I can't be joyous about.

MooShoo - I loved you with all my heart and soul. I never thought this day would come. I will miss your smooth skin against mine when we sleep and the games we used to play. It just won't be the same without you.

Play hard at the bridge with Marina Mar, the two babies and especially Mollie Rose. You won't be alone. I will seeyou again one find day my hero.:(:(

I am so sorry to read this. My heart is breaking along with yours. I don't even know what to say. Life is so cruel sometimes and you do not deserve this at all! Know many people here are thinking of you. :love:

Oh, Donna, my heart goes out to you. :( To lose your dear boy at all is bad enough but in such a sudden way is the most devastating thing I could imagine happening. {{hugs}} Keeping you in my heart and prayers.

Oh Donna- this comes as a shock. I know- to lose a kitty without having the time to say goodbye hurts even harder.

Donna, I'm so sorry for your loss. I had two dogs who had fatal heart attacks and I know the cry that they make. It's an awful sound and one that is still w/me to this day. Nothing I can say will make you feel better right now b/c you know that MooShoo is no longer in pain and is free but that doesn't fill your empty arms at night. As you know from having lost other cats through the years, the pain will lessen and you'll be left w/only good memories. Take heart; MooShoo knows how loved he was and still is. RIP, dear MooShoo and peace to you, Donna.

Donna, I was shocked to see MooShoo added to the cat memorial. I can only imagine the shock and sadness that you are experiencing right now. It's never easy, no matter when or how they leave us, but sometimes I think leaving the way MooShoo did, is less difficult than watching them slowly decline over many months, and even years. I've experienced both scenarios.

Oh Donna, I'm so sorry. :( What a shock! I know MooShoo was your heart kitty and it's sad you didn't get to say goodbye. It's not gonna help you much right now, but know that MooShoo didn't suffer, and the time she had with you was filled with love. :love: I'm sorry it had to happen the day before your birthday.

Donna, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the title of this thread! I am so very sorry. I heard that cry once, with Billy, the cat who was only here a short time (about 5 months).

Moo Shoo is such a Beautiful Cat and was always a Cat whose photo we looked forward to seeing.He was a Big Part of Cat General , and an integral part of your life , a wonderful Dear Cat.
Its such a shock when Our Cats go suddenly , without warning and we wonder if we had somehow missed some signs that all was not well.
But thats not the case with Moo Shoo, no Cat could have had a more attentive and Loving Guardian. And Moo Shoo will visit and doesnt want you to be sad, he had the best life a Cat could have!!
Moo Shoo is now in Nicarauga with the Awesome Angels Army and theres a beach Party Moo Shoo in her honor, and now Moo Shoo will start looking for a place where you and he can be reunited in Love.

I saw the title of this and thought "Oh, someone else has a cat named MooShoo". I am shocked and in tears to find out it was your MooShoo. I can't even begin to say anything to help ease your heart at this time. You've been through so much the past months in regards to your babies. Please know that we (PT) are here for you, always.

Mooshoo was so much more than your heart baby - the walks you took him for in the stroller, and so many people loved to give him attention...he was a PERSON.

Donna, it could be that his heart was damaged when he was a kitten by the same virus that let him nearly blind. You could not have known, and he obviously had a very good life every minute when he was with you. There never was a kitty who was loved more.

I talked with Donna on the phone about a half hour ago, and she seems to be holding up well, but still in shock. Mooshoo was her heart and soul. RIP Mooshoo!

I absolutely hate it when I log onto Pet Talk and read about the passing of yet another of our favorites.

How your heart must hurt right now, Donna. I wish there was something that I could say or do that would be just the right thing to have you heal.

I only know that MooShoo is not far away from you because he loved you too as much as you loved him.

MooShoo - you have joined so many others that we have recently lost and I pray that you are happy, healthy again and resting for a while.

I just talked to Donna also. She said that 4 out of her 5 cats were on her bed with her - and they never do that! They know when we hurt. :love:

She is staying home today and doing nothing. She hadn't been back to this thread, and I told her there were 2 pages in no time! She was surprised.

So sorry about your loss Moosmom. Ten yrs is not very old for a cat and I know you nmust feel devastated right now. It wasn't a pleasant way to lose him but much better that to watch him suffer and maybe linger in pain. He'll be waiting for you....

Today was a little melancholy for me because of other stuff, but my heart really broke when I read your post.

You can take solace in the fact that you had 10 wonderful years with your little friend and I am sure he knew you loved him so.

Thank you so much for all your responses. They've had me in tears. MooShoo was my soulmate and the thought of going to bed without him wrapped in my arms is something I can't comprehend. His purr alone is what lulled me to sleep.

I still have his baby blanket. His scent is in it and I guess that's what I'll sleep with.

I am numb right now. I've been up since I got home from the vet.

I am so sorry to read this thread!!! We share too much when it comes to losing cats. Molly died 2 days before my 57th birthday(2/18/08), and in 8 months lost 4 cats(2008 was not a good year). We never have these wonder creatures long enough, and they leave us all too soon. I hope you have memories to comfort you. Sleep softly, dear sweet MooShoo...
