I just thought I'd say that he's holding his own this week. He's been drinking and eating some and happily purrs when we snuggle.
He's not acting like he is hurting in any way... I am so relieved. I just want this reprieve to last and for him to get strong again.
I will keep everyone updated.

It must be a Tabby thing. Taz used to always snuggle too. He'd jump up in the chair with me while I was eating dinner just so he could be close to me. Or he'd sit behind me on the seat of the chair (I'd scoot forward just for him).

I agree, it must be a tabby thing. My orange tabby, Mac, is a big snuggler and my Siamese, Ming, just loves to lay next to you or follow you around. Mac will cuddle up and purr and purr. I am sending prayers that Scooterbug gets better and better!:love:

My Michael who was losing weught and interest before his last operation is starting to rally too.:love::love:
One thing that works wonders with Michael is take out Chicken from the Deli and Fancy Feast Pates'.:cool::cool::cool:

I have found that he REALLY likes the Beech Nut, stage 1 baby food that is just meat & broth... Chicken & Chicken Broth is his favorite! He's eating a jar a day of it.
I know he isn't going to fully recover and be "well" again, but he's comfy and seems happy and that's all I can hope for.

And he is eating more! I guess you still don't know what he is recovering from - I don't recall if there was an actual illness - but with his feeling comfy and happy and eating, he may trudge along for a while yet.

I'm glad that you found something that he loves to eat.:) My Storm also seemed to like the Gerber Graduates Turkey sticks which look like mini hotdogs. I'd cut them and then mash them up for him. I hope he'll continue to do well and be with you for quite a while yet. More prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way.

He's still a lovebug. He doesn't jump or climb anymore, so I had to improvise a new litterbox that is very low to the ground for him. (hah, we won't use THAT cake pan again!) I have been mixing some water in with his canned food and mushing it good so I can get him to eat it more.Quote:

Scooter Bug has an appointment at 10:45. I don't think they're going to be able to do anything for him... so that's probably the end of the line.

Their thought in early December that there was a mass/tumor on his liver was right. It had grown... and he was starting to jaundice.
I am completely lost.
