See, how could I choose between the sleek beauty of a Russian Blue, the wild glory of a Bengal on the prowl, the soft sweetness of the Himmies, stately and goofy Persians, Maine Coons with their huge paws and foofy tails, shorthairs with their distinctive faces and attitutudes, Sphynxes like Moo Soo who are like living suede hotwater bottles to hold, the curly Devon Rexes ...

Well, of course, as I've said before....
TABBIES RULE!! Now that that's been clarified...
I have to say, with no bias whatsoever, that Tabby/Tortie blends are beautiful in any breed, so I guess that's a Domestic Shorthair choice, then...
Maine Coons are such big sweethearts.
Bengals are elegant, as well as
Egyptian Maus.
Ocicats-gotta love 'em, the little leopards!
But the number one is a rescue cat that needs you! :)
#1 is Tortoiseshells!
Technically not a breed, but their personalities makes them seem like a breed of their own. :)

Last I checked, calico, tortie and torbie were COLORS not breeds! He he heee.
You can have a long or short haired calico, depending on the breed.
Now Ragdolls, they are just adorable, even though I've never owned one.
Maine Coon - don't think I'd like to have to carry one though!
Siberian Forest -- my RB Vita was one I suspect. There is someone on here who has 2 of them!
Russian Blue, OMGosh, to die for!

I am Presently owned by 2 cats. I have a Calico and a Tux. I will have to admit to being a kitty illiterate, not knowing a Maine Coon from a Tabby. I have been paying close attention to 'Cat of the Day', trying to learn the different breeds, but so far still have trouble telling the difference. I am hoping I will learn with time.
I don't know alot of cat breeds

1 Himalayan
2 Yellow Cats (don't know the right name for them)
3 Calico
4 Tuxedo
5 The Hairless ones (don't know what they're called, but they're cute :)
This is a hard question because I love all cats.:) I've been to many cat shows so I guess my top five would be:
1. Maine Coon
2. Abyssinian
3. Ragdoll
4. Tonkinese
5. Turkish Angora
I also love mixed breeds too. All of mine are mixed.:)
As for coat colors or patterns, I love orangies, reds, blues, creams, calicos and both DLH and DSH.
Tabbies, Torti's, Calico's c are all colours/ markings not breeds ;).
