And if you do bring her to visit her cuzin's in OHIO you have to make sure you get a pass for the doggie park!!! Keegan would love to play with her!! But that would be a BIG trip!!! :(

To those of you who said that Dakota is a Harlequin Great Dane, you were right. Yes, Brian and I are very happy and proud owners, or parents should I say! She's great to have around and great to share the days with. I can't believe that she's gotten so big. We got her at six weeks, and this coming Sunday she'll be 18 weeks. I'm sure she weighs a good 50-60 pounds by now because she weighed 46.1 when she went to the vet on Sept. 16.

Amy, I would love to bring her to meet and visit with her cousin's and everybody in Ohio. But, shais_mom is right, it's a bit of a long trip for us to take on a weekend! Hopefully, we'll get to come some time though so that everybody gets to know my baby too. I'm sure you would all love her more if you met her and knew her crazy personality. I guess she reminds me of Sadie. Yeah, she's adorable, but the personality makes her 10 times better!

Oh yeah, and Dakota would like to thank everybody for all you're compliments. She loves the attention as most dogs do!

Well, yes, she often is a daddy's girl! Not all the time though. He's around a lot less than me (due to work schedules and being in the field for the army) so she tends to stay by his side when he's home. However, when he's not around, she doesn't leave my side. It also helps that he plays a little rougher with her than I will, so she knows where to go to get what. She tends to be spoiled half of the time, but I guess that's to be expected when you think of them as your kids!

What a BEAUTIFUL baby you have! I have loved Danes since I was 11 and found one walking around in the small back yard of our apt. building! Mom told me if we couldnt find his owner I could keep him! ! I remember taking the phone off the hook and doing all I could so that no one could contact us lol Hey I was just a kid geez lol
Anyway His owner found his way to our house and I had to let him go! His name was Rebel and he lived 3 blocks behind us! I used to go and visit him all the time until Rebel and his human Joe moved away. I still think about him and miss him and I have swore that SOMEDAY I will have a Dane of my own ! I love all the pics of Dakota ! Keep us all updated
