May I have some encourangement, please?

I have an appointment with my OB this afternoon for an annual check-up. I dread it for no other reasons than I'll be among tons of pregnant women, and I'm not one of them :(

I know God has a plan for everyone, us included, and because of that, am still able to be content & happy in life.. However, there are days that I'm totally fine, and there are days like today, when I can't help but wish that with regards to this matter, God's plan is the same as mine :o

I do believe that if I (and everyone I know) bugs God long enough, he'll eventually gives in and blesses us with a little one :p, for He has said so himself, "And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Luke 11: 9-10)

So, I ask for your continuous prayers & encouragement along the way, for they're what keep us going on our quest to become parents!

I went through 9 years of infertility. I hated that waiting room also. Its now a distant memory, I hope it will be just a memory for you soon also.

Good thoughts coming your way. Right now I'm dealing with severe cramps even though I don't get a period anymore because my gyno put me on continuous birth control pills to stop my periods so I don't cramp but now that hasn't helped so I'm scheduled to see a specialist at the end of this month who I really hope will help me out. With my endometriosis if that's really what I have then I may end up doing a hysteroctomy to get some relief and I haven't tried for kids yet, plus I'm not even ready yet either. My husband and I have 9 cats and I love them all dearly and they are my kids but somedays I think I'd love a chance to have a kid. Well enough about me, I hope your appt. goes well. Take care,

Thanks for all your kind words. They mean a lot to me.

So true Smokey. About 2 years ago, they found a baby boy body wrapped in plastic bag & dumped by the dumpster near my house. I cried for weeks on end, or when I hear on the news that this person or that person had killed their child(ren). I wish they'll just give their child to us, or couples like us, who would do anything to have what they had..

Awwwwwww I understand so very well what you mean and what you're going through....! We went to the same difficult time almost 30 years ago now. Though it is so long ago, I still can feel the "mixed" feelings we had when we sat there amongst happy pregnant couples...!!
We've never known why either, why we didn't get any kids...! It is hard to accept this, but we had no choice hey..:(
But...... after trying 6 years, we welcomed our Korean son, and 4 years later our Indian girl! And in the end we were as happy as those other couples!!

My husband's and my experience was about 25 years ago, when all the technology was JUST coming in to play, and the doctor's offices were not geared toward infertility at all. I'd call in to be tested at a certain critical point, the first question was, "are you pregnant?". That is a devastating question.

In any case, there is a plan. God did not grant us children, but, later on we have figured out there was another road. This is not my thread, so I won't elaborate, but suffice it to say it all has a reason. Peace.

I'm so sorry Theresa. I know you've been trying for a while. Seriously, I thought I'd never want kids. Then, as I got older, and diagnosed with severe endrometriosis and malformed innards, and was told I couldn't have kids, my heart broke when asked "are you pregnant".?

When I babysit John's granddaughters, and realize how maternal I am, I'm sorry I never adopted. I thought, at first, if I hadn't given birth to a child, I couldn't feel the same passion if it wasn't my own, but I don't feel that way anymore. So I understand how you feel about abandoned children. So much awful stuff on the news and I think "I'll take her/him" So sad.

But, truly, I have a friend who couldn't conceive, adopted 3 children and then had 3 of her own...a very happy, happy family.

You never know God's plans for us. I hope and pray for you that one day, your thread to us will be; "It's a Boy/Girl". Lots of :love::love::love::love::love::love: dear friend!

Well, I'm glad it's over :) I only saw 8 pregnant women, including one very young girl who sob quietly for about half an hour that I was in the waiting room & was still sobbing when I left. Her pregnancy was confirmed at the office & she was obviously worried/distraughted/unhappy about it.. It really broke my heart & I had to try hard to hold back my tears..

Anyway, the doctor suggested that I take Clomids to help with the ovulation. Have anyone here have any experience with Clomids? Any successful stories that you can share?
