Welcome the new Puppy! *pics*

So on Sunday we replied to an ad about some mutt puppies needing a home. We drove three hours away to go and see them. There were two left, a brother and a sister. We played with both of them for a little bit and then decided on the male (who was twice the size of his sister). He snuggled with me all the way home. He is 8 weeks old, he is big(about 20lbs), he is very cuddly and his name is Sam (I wanted Kyler or Jude).

Now we don't think he is the breeds that they said he was at least not just those breeds. What are your guys guesses on his breeds?

I'm not good at guessing breeds but he is adorable!!!! Congratulations on getting him!!:)

He is pretty big for 8 weeks old. I think he's gonna be a big boy.:eek:

I'm not very good at guessing breeds either, but just the instant I saw the first picture I thought Husky.

he could well be Husky or Malamute... the rest can be a mistery.. hehe.. I´ve seen Husky/Cocker pups... and if it wasn´t for droppy ears you´d say they were pure Husky...

We were told that he was a shepherd-lab mix. I think he definitely has something else in there perhaps rottie, husky or malamute. I might not see it until he is older.

Whattacutie! LOL at him getting up close and personal with the camera so we can get aquainted with his nose. The collies give him 2 thumbs up for that. :)

now that you mention that.. he could well have a lab parent and a shepherd/husky or shepherd/malamute one...

I´ve seen shep /husky mixes that look pure shep.. so he could have gotten the shep or mal size from there...

His dad is a full blooded blue heeler, and his mom is a lab/doberman mix.

Oh my gosh look at those brown eyes and I :love: love :love: his markings!!! I agree with everyone else, adorable, sweet, heart melter!!!!!!!!!!
The second photo is just priceless. I am not sure about his breed(s). He could have Lab. See if he wants to constantly carry something in his mouth and also retrieve. Also I thought of maybe the swiss mountain dog or great swiss mountain dog, I know there are two different ones but the one with the shorter coat. Look at this photo:
