Back during April 8-11th I was at the Collie Club Of America National specailty show in West Springfield, MA. with a few of my dogs....

Bree, my 7 month old smooth sable puppy, placed 3rd in the 6-9 smooth bitch class out of 16 entered. I just got her placement picture back so thought I'd share it with you all...

Also at the CCA national, Lindsay, a rough blue bitch I bred (Paris' littermate actually) that now lives in Canada won the open rough blue bitch class. I haven't gotten her show picture from her owner yet.. but here is a picture taken of her in the ring at the national.

Though that isn't me in the pics LOL Thats their handlers..

Bree is on the small side. She'll likely only be 45-50lbs at the most fully grown.

Paris is a large girl though, 70lbs... she was just 6 months old in that show pic (2005)..

Spiritwind -- as always, your dogs are gorgeously beautiful! I'd love to reach right through the monitor to pet them :) It is neat to see how Bree grew from a tiny little one, to an adorable 9-week old to a top winning dog! Congratulations!

Introducing the newest addition to the group...

My rough girl Amy gave birth to her "Litter" lastnight... she had ONE puppy, a very large, rough sable bitch... here are the first couple pics.

The puppy is sired by CH Blu Ridge Lookout, a rough tri-color I saw 1 1/2 yrs ago and LOVED.. and had to breed something to him... so here is the result. Amy wasn't huge, so I didn't expect a big litter, but I certianly expected more than 1!... but here she is..

Gorgeous Collies, all of them! Congrats on all the wins. I just :love: Amy! Only one cute little one? It will be fun to watch her grow up.:)

awww congrats on the new baby, wow only one LOL. I thought maybe you actually purchased a new addition not that just one pup was born. She is ADORABLE!! I knew Bree would be something special. She was my pick from the beginning.

Congratulations, Spiritwind, Amy and new-born pup! You mentioned she was large and I hope Amy did not have any trouble with the delivery.

Thanks. She didn't have a horrible time with delivery it just took a while. If I hadn't been with her (not that I would have left her - I called off work), I really don't think she would have been able to get the puppy out on her own... alteast not with the puppy ending up alive!

She came out butt first and took her a while. I had to kind of help pull her out as Amy was pushing... hard to explain. Honestly I was starting to think I may need to take her into a vet, she wasn't making much progress... Then I went in to check on her in the other room and I finally saw the puppies feet starting to come out!!

She is a WONDERFUL mother though and will not leave her puppy!
