I bet its amazing to get to see Lorikeets and other similar birds in their natural habitat... then again, you are probably used to it by now. :) Either way, this is a beautiful shot! Thanks for sharing a little bit of Australia with us.
I've always wanted to visit Australia. Why can't it be closer? Several members on my Ford Aspire message board (called Festivas there) are from Australia and they're alway posting pictures of beautiful things.:cool:

Fabulous photos! I have seen the other 2 birds before but I don't remember the corella at all.
What type of tree is in the first photo? The red blooms are lovely! Does it have a fragrance to it?

I remember lots of lovebirds were in the trees when we visited Darwin!! Here we can only find these birds in cages !! My hubby was so trilled!
Check out the two adult Pluvers trying to herd their young chick of the road, god I love my place, O and don’t worry all three made it to safety

In all my travels, I loved Austrailia best. I'm blessed to have been able to savor a beautiful country with awesome, friendly, great people.
I went more touristy so I missed a lot of the local stuff. You're photos are super!
Wow! Incredible diverse wildlife you guys have in Australia, don't you? Actually at this time we have family visiting from Australia. There was a time when lots of Maltese emigrated to down under!

WOW! Those pictures are awesome! Those birds are beautiful....that would be so cool to get to actually see them in the wild living free like that. Do you ever see any cockatiels? I'd love to come to Australia just to see all the animals...
