Load of pics from an outing

I bit the bullet so to speak and took the gang out to run for a bit this morning. It was 12 degrees with -3 wind chill but at least I knew the ground would be frozen and no mud problems. We all need to get out more, cabin fever is really setting in. So I shot a few pics.

Even though it's freezing I took Rem and Honda out to a very small open little field right next to the apartment. Honda took off running and poor Rem couldn't keep up. Lol So cute. I love the first times you take them out after the winter and let them run and play. They love it. You have beautiful dogs and the place your at looks super fun!!!

Gorgeous shots!! That looks like a great place to take the dogs. I wish I could let mine run like that, that's the worst drawback about huskies! I :love: this shot of Tasha! The background matches her fur so nicely too!

Being from Florida, I can feel the cold in those pictures. It looks like frozen tundra. Jess, your pictures capture the feel of everything. I'm amazed at how the dogs will even venture out in that weather. It's so intriguing to try to understand how you and the dogs can figure out where to walk and where not to walk. I just love it!!

Fantastic photography as always. All three of those gorgeous pups look fantastic. The action shots are awesome. You're a very brave group. Thanks for putting up with the weather to bring us this great adventure.:)
Now I hope you can stay inside and have some hot chocolate.:)

Happy Raven, I still have your picture on my fridge where I look at it every single day :love: I tried to take it off because it's starting to curl up; I thought I should put it in an album, to protect it -- but I missed it so I put it back!

It is out on a windy plains area when you don't have thermals or a face mask, believe me =p. I mostly had trouble with my face hurting, went out without a scarf. I know all about -30 and -40 degree weather.. I lived in Minnesota for 10 years :). At least the chill made it so there were no mud issues, in that way it was perfect.

ETA: Another observation as far as the "cold" issue. I've always felt it was relative and what a person is used to and geared for. To someone from Florida, 32 degrees F is very very cold. To me it would feel pleasant about now. But stick me in the middle of July and it would feel awfully cold again. It's all about how adapted you are to it :D

Wow! Gorgeous shots, Jess! Such a beautiful setting and the pups sure were having fun!:D Those actions shots of Raven are terrific, and Tommy, ever the dainty soul; Tasha the jack rabbit, lol! Looks like one happy pack! (Freezing mom maybe not so much!:D What a trooper!:p) Give the kids a hug and kiss for me, please!
