Please pray for Max

Hi all,

Please pray really hard for Max the Weim. Wednesday night he ate 80 800 mg ibuprofin and went into a coma and was given a 10% chance to live. The vet told us to say our goodbyes because he figured he'd die during the night. When Mike called at 1am from work they told him that Max was awake and responsive and then I called at 7am he was up and walking. When I went in at 12:30 to visit he was almost my old Max. We played ball and gave kisses etc. He truly is the miracle dog. I don't think I've ever prayed so hard in all my life. I swear to you guys that God touched those people and gave Max the strength to live. There truly is no other explanation. They are doing a kidney and liver profile today to find out how much damage was done, so pray there wasn't much done. No one expected him to live at all. The girls at the emergency hospital have really fallen in love with him.

Oh Molly! What horrible news! Why didn't you tell us sooner?!

Is Max stable? Do they know if he has a chance to make it through this? He is such a sweet guy.

He will be in my thoughts. Please update us as soon as you find something out.

Good Heavens, Molly. That is everyone's worst nightmare come true. Max truly has been blessed by God. There is no other explanation. Please keep us posted, and we will definitely keep your Max in our prayers.

Ok, add to the miracle of Max...the kidney and liver scan were "amazingly good" this from the vet. We get to bring him home at 3:00 this afternoon. We are to follow up with Dr. B on Monday and have the scans done again. God thank you!!! Thank all of you too for your prayers and good thoughts. We will keep you updated, although, unless Mike gets one of the puters up this weekend, it won't be until Monday. Hopefully he can get it up and running tonight or tomorrow. Thanks again.

Molly! Great news! I am so thrilled to hear that Max will be coming home today :) His recovery is truley amazing!

What a miracle dog! Poor Max! Thank God things seem to be going well. We will prayer the next scans look as good as the first. Max, don't scare your Mommy and Daddy like that!!!

What a scare! Somebody was watching out for Max - that's for sure. I hope he will continue to do well. You guys are in my prayers. I am so sorry that I just read this today.

Wow...I am so sorry that I missed this post! Mugsy, I am very glad Max is OK, and I hope he continues to do well. Poor guy :( it's quite a miracle that he's still with us, though.

Hi all!!

Thanks for all your good thoughts. Max came home at 3 pm on Friday and is back to his old self already. Thank you all so much for your prayers and good thoughts. His bloodwork came back amazingly good. He was only abnormal on a couple of things and they weren't that far off. Mike took him this morning for a second 12 panel to see how things are going.

Great news! I hope today's tests come out OK.

The creatin was a little too high and the albumin was too low. They thought it might be a cause for concern, but they're going to contact the vet that saw him and see what he thinks.

Still praying here, Molly and Mike. :) How is he acting?? I hope everything will be ok.
