Don't worry about the "not coming to you part"
Neither of my Abys, if they escape, will come to me outside. Juni has been know to be outside for a full two days. That is why she doesn't get the chance ordinarily...she has to escape. Chloe is a bit better, but not much better. I have to leave the door ajar and then wait, for Juni and Chloe. I have actually caught Juni once, and still have the scars to prove it.
I think either trapping her or leaving a door open for awhile might do the trick.

Be sure you take a hike around the neighborhood and alert ALL the neighbors that
she's IN the AREA and to please keep a sharp lookout for her.
You migh also hand them each a little note with your name & phone number
so they can alert you if they spot her.
