 I would take this baby in a heartbeat if we could get to Texas..
OK, I'll tell Queen Scoopalot & mumpkees, & we'll see what can happen...
Well, maybe. I posted this link at HP and said there was interest in him, but I don't know what'll happen. At this point, it's just a possibility. Are you seriously interested?
Oh, well, this is the bunch that moved heaven & Earth to get Ari up here, and they pulled it off less than 24 hours before the night night needle, so if anybody can do it, they can!!! :)
mumpkees is in TX, so that'll probably help.
pic now posted. http://handicappedpet.net/helppets/v...p?f=18&t=11523
I think we have 2 PTrs in MI...maybe they could get transport started. He sure is a gorgeous kitty!:)
Do you belong to HP, and, if so, are you lvpets2002 there, too?
Let me know what happens with bob. We are leaving for saginaw michigan in 2 weeks and will need some time to find a house and whatnot, but if bob is still around we might be able to take him eventually.
I just saw these posts now. I am only a couple hours' drive from Grand Rapids. I could help with transport, at least, if he's going to go live with Helene and Taccoa and Butterscotch in Texas. And I may already be adopting a cat from Wisconsin through HP, but if that doesn't happen, I could maybe adopt Bob if Helene or Cristy doesn't! I already have one CH boy, Elmer.
Thanks for chiming in at HP, phesina!!
Well, I wrote to Samantha.. I'm already maybe adopting another HP cat, Honey, with screwed-up legs, from Wisconsin.. if someone else (in Texas!) can't manage to get her.. then we'd have to figure out how to get her here from WI..
But Bob is so close, and he sounds like Elmer's big brother..
Maybe i should adopt both of them?! Maybe I need to move to a bigger place.. Maybe I need to win the Lottery, or rob a bank..
We shall see..
Love from us to all of you, and Elmer sends special love to his darling Taccoa,
Pat
Today I took a drive to Kentwood MI (suburban Grand Rapids)..
And came home with our new housemate (and CH colleague for Elmer) Bob!
He is a big solid brown-tabby boy. He is presently in his personal room (the bathroom), hiding and sulking as he wonders What HAPPENED?..
In there he has his bowls that he brought with him, which I filled up with 9-Lives Tuna Select and Iams kibble and water, and he has the litter box Elmer brought when HE came here to live, with high walls and a low cut-out space in front for easy entry. He also brought his own bed along, but it's too big to go in the small bathroom, so he has a smaller one to use for now.
All afternoon Elmer has been parked outside the shut door staring at it. I wonder if he knows this new one is SPECIAL, just like Elmer is, too!
I'll keep you all posted and will get pictures when he's ready for a photo shoot.
Pat and Elmer and the gang
P.S., Honey did get adopted by and transported to her person in Texas!

Thanks for posting the picture, Cassiesmom. That's the one from the HP thread on him, isn't it? Isn't he one gorgeous guy?
I plan to take many pictures when he's ready to let me.
I just went in to check on him.. he had been hiding behind the heater cover and growling when I last looked. Now he's out, curled up on his bed (still growling!). He let me pet him some.
(See, Gary and Found Cats, he's already starting to meet me halfway!)
Oh, what a handsome boy Bob is! And how lucky to have a home w/you, Pat. This is such a heartwarming story and I'm anxious to hear more.
Awe!! I bet that's not growling at all, but a deep rumbley PURRRRRR! ;)
Sweet hello pets to Bob!
CONGRATULATIONS to you and Bob! You will have him eating out of your hands in no time. I can't wait for the pictures of him all settled in and happy!

Helene, Bob is a mature gentleman of 8, maybe 9 years of age, and Amy has already claimed him!
glad to hear you made it to your forever home safely, dear one--you just rumble all you want, your mommy understands it's just your way of feeling in control. don't you worry a bit, she fell in love with you just from your photo and stories, and you'll find out you're in the bestest place in the world.

He's out of the bathroom a lot now and exploring more.
Elmer was harassing him today! Bob was hiding under the bed. I was able to reach in and bring him out without trouble. Then I pet him a lot and took him back to his own room and gave him some 9-Lives Tuna Select.
I shut Elmer in the bedroom for a while, and Bob came out and explored some more in the living room. Now Elmer's out again, and Bob's in his bed. Elmer goes in to look at him some, and Bob growls, but that's all.
I've taken a few pictures of him, but I still have to work out how to get them from the camera to the computer!
Laura's Amy, that's right, Helene!. She's been singing that old pop song, "I want to be Bobby's girl, I want to be Bobby's girl, that's the only girl I want to be..."
What a sweet cat he is! So ...ordinary in most ways, but so precious.
Phesina...you rock! We are finally in michigan after a long bout with my sick grandmother in pittsburgh (where we had no computer access) and I am so happy to see that bob is doing so well....congrats...to both of you!:)
Welcome to Michigan, Cristy and family! Have you found a house yet? How is the new job working out, and how do you like the area?
I think that we have found a house...we are putting in a bid on Thursday, so we shall see! We adore michigan...the weather is beautiful...so far:)...and Espen and I have been having a blast at the pool and playground in our apt complex. Steve's job is going very well and even Jasper seems ultra content with his access to the balcony sunshine every day! Life is good!!
You probably aren't all that far from Saginaw Bay. There are some absolutely beautiful beaches there.
Here are a few pictures of Bob in his new home!
With regard to that last one... well, a guy does have a right to a little privacy at home, doesn't he?
 Aweee just look at this wittle Handsome boy Bob.. Congrats on exploring the world in your new furrever home.. Your such a Cutie Pie..
