Just got an email from amazon. They said my camera can't be fixed, and they will refund the full purchase price; 325 Euro. From this amount, I can buy a new camera. The Canon Powershot S2 (the one I had) is no longer avaible, but the S3 is now down to 350 Euro at amazon, so that would be a great option.
Please keep your fingers crossed that I will soon get my money back, so that I'm able to get the new cam! I miss taking photos of my girls! :D

Wow, that is great that they will refund it for you! The S3 is a really nice camera, I know someone with it, and not to mention I know alot of pettalkers have it! :)
Got an email this morning from amazon that they have transfered the money to my account... and when I looked for the S3 at amazon, I found that even the S5 is down to 348 Euro today, so I ordered that one. It has 12 Megapixel and is said to be much better than the S2 and S3.
Now I can't wait to get my new cam!!

It's true, I was really surprised how quickly they responded. An ex-co-worker of mine sent his broken camera to another warehousing company, and it took months before he heard from them. I was expecting something like that, too, and I'm very pleased about the way amazon handled this - very uncomplicated and fast.Quote:
