I Made My Furkids 2 New Cat Beds But.....(Updated New Pics On Post #27)

Hi, during my vacation I made my cats 2 new cat beds and I just finished sewing the last one shut this evening. I over stuff them a bit because later on they tend to flatten out. One is a little more over stuffed than the other one and they're not too sure about either of them yet. Here are a few pictures that I took tonight. Enjoy!!!!:)

Now these 3 pictures are of Storm lying on one of the new cat beds. In 2 of the pictures he got on the bed on his own. Can you guess which picture is the one where I placed him on the bed? He now seems to love the beds.:)

Great job! You really outdid yourself on these; now you have provided inspiration for me to make some for my boys (something I have been planning for a loooooong time ;) ).

At least one of your kitties will use the new beds! :) They are beautiful (the beds, but also the cats :D )

Is it in the third picture that you placed Storm on the bed?

I wish I were skilled like that. You did such a great job. The first pic looks as though you have a BIG cat in your family, too. :p

Thanks for all of the nice comments.:) I'm not a skilled sewer at all. These beds are very easy to make. If I can make them then any one can.;) I'll let more people guess the picture of Storm before I tell you if you're right.;)

My choice for Storm is the first picture. I think his hind legs look awkward in that one.

That's the pic and the reason why I was going to say the first picture -- he just doesn't look comfortable!

Those are great looking, too bad all of my pets would rather sleep on the bed with me OR on random clothes/blankets on the floor than actually use a bed... lol.

My Double-Oh actually has a favorite material he loves... he has NEVER kneaded a blanket before lying down until I got this one blanket... now we own two blankets and my robe is made of the same material, and he will sleep only on those and won't move all night :)

Those are really neat!! I love the print. :)

Those beds are AWESOME! You did GOOD! I love that fabric but I love better what is on them!!

We saw a beautiful 2 year old like Storm at Pet Smart today. WHAT a beauty!!

I think the first pic for Storm...but the third pic is a really close second...

The beds are wonderful and you should consider making them and selling them. I am sure there are some of us Pet Talkers that would purchase them from you....me!! I going with the flow and saying that it was the first picture.

I love ALL the pics. But if you decide to sell your cat beds on eBay, I would use the photo of Starr on the new bed. ;)

Around here, anything new like that, I put a bit of catnip on it and wait. Usually takes a bit but the catnip gets them every time! Then in a day or so, EVERYONE wants on the new item. :rolleyes:

Thanks again everyone.:) Sirrahbed was the one who posted the directions on how to make them. It's kind of hard to understand them until you actually start making them. You do need a sewing machine unless you have a lot of time on your hands and can hand sew them. Even with a sewing machine it takes me quite a while to make them. I make the 24 inch beds because I have large cats and sometimes they like to cuddle. I also make the rims 14 inches wide instead of 12 inches. I have also made heart shaped beds too. Another PT'er even made a square shaped bed so you can feel free to experiment. Here's the link that Sirrahbed made:Tutorial For Cat Condom Beds.

It's too late - I cannot say anymore I thought pic 1 of Storm was the one..
but I had the advantage to see all your kitties on them. I still think Starr looks the best - royal prince :) but I also adore the purrfect Sunny tortellini ;)
