I don't have a tree up, I will be at my parents for a month over Christmas, so will decorate there! I can't wait!!!

I wish I could help you there. But I'm spending Christmas in Pennsylvania, so there's really no point in putting up decorations.

but I do enjoy seeing others.
I haven't gotten into it for a few years but my daughter sort of pulled me into it, we do need some more ornaments on the tree but I spent $50 on the topper, lights and those pink balls so it can wait till next year.
My daughter did most of the tree and helped me with the outside, I will take a picture of the outside, we just finished that.
The bannister is very pretty at night.

I started decorating yesterday. We went with colored lights this year to have more fun for Cameron. He didn't care about the lights... he only wants to rip balls off the tree and throw them around. :rolleyes: Thank goodness for shatterproof ornaments (I bought them years ago so the cats wouldn't break anything.)
The tree.... of course everyone puts their tree on top of the foam tiles for children's play areas (hubby insisted I do this for some reason :rolleyes: )

One shot of the boys on the banister. I still have to finish it. I think I want to add some shatterproof balls to it too but not sure. I typically do poinsettias w/ white lights on the railing so I feel a bit lost not doing elegant this year :o

I still have to figure out what I'm doing on the mantle and around the fireplace because I'm not putting out my Christmas houses this year for fear Cam with yank the cord and have a chain reaction of a dozen houses crashing down on him.
catnapper, your tree is gorgeous also! I'm so jealous of you that have your trees up. I bought a fake tree two years ago, one reason to be able to put it up earlier. I only had 4 days off work. :o

We're putting our outside decorations up this Saturday (the HIGH is only going to be 34 degrees!!! :eek: ) I hope to start putting up decorations tonight inside.

I didn't put up a tree last year because Buddy pees on it every year and all it does is make me mad. :mad: I may put it up this year, I don't know yet. The thing that gets me is that it's a FAKE tree!!!

Kim i am amazed you have cats and still have a tree, i used to until the day my lexie arrived, no longer, she would wreck it, and i think my playful nikkita would to, so it is going to a good home ,my son and his partner amber have claimed it, i have some decorations on the mantelpiece and on the wall, and that is about it, but the place still looks quite christmassy, i will try and get a pic if i can.
love seeing everyone else's they are awesome.

This shot looks like a Christmas card! Everyone's trees are beautiful. Hubby put up lights outside, but our tree's not up yet. I'll set it up with lights but won't decorate it till after my son comes to visit here later in December.Quote:

I've decided the inside is never going to get finished, so here is how it is. (You can see photos of decorating the tree in Cat General. :rolleyes: My helpers, that is.)
For the first time ever, we decided we just couldn't do a cut live tree. So we have this one. I only took out the cat and dog ornaments, plus one owl (owls are Good Luck in Sicily). I didn't have ANY bichon ornaments, so I had to wait for one to arrive to take the photo!
