Overnight tonight Pittsburgh will see it's first accumilation of snow. It'll only be a slushly 1", but it'll look like winter. The roads will be too warm for this snow to stick. (I hope!)

SNOW, I love snow. The more the better.
Bring on the snow! :D We're expecting the same here in NE Ohio tonight. It can stay off the roads David. ;)
I'm right on Lake Erie and the water is still warm, so this time of year any lake effect snow that comes across the lake gets blown right past me and dumps on Geauga County (where I grew up and my parent's still live) They woke up this morning with a few inches on the ground.
BRING IT ON! I can't wait!
;) Could you send some Snow to Texas.. Our weather is rocking each day from 85% to 65%.. Mother Nature cant make up her mind here..
lvpets2002-If they send you that snow, keep it in Texas and do not send it east!! I like these 65*-85* temps!
We have our first snow here- but under a permagrey sky.
I like the few winter sundays when it will be clear and blue and snowy but I could have waited for it a little longer.
Our local weatherguy has been using that awful word at us too. Ours is to come Wednesday night and into Thanksgiving Day. I'm hoping the storm fizzles out!!! Last year we had 9 inches that came around Thanksgiving day and it seemed to snow every week after that until May!!!
Lady and her humans got a little snow today! Lady's Other Human knew I'd be jealous, so took a couple pictures to console me.
(Marylin-Jean with her school bus approching in the distance, and The Woodpile.)
AAAUUUGGGGHHHHH
No, please, no snow, not yet!!
(Karen, that is a beautiful picture of Marilyn-Jean. I love it!)
Today I rushed around to get my four snow tires put on the ole' car. The weatherperson predicted several inches of snow. What a wrong call. It turned out to be rain in most of Vermont. Oh well, I am ready for the next false alarm. Snow will be here sooner than later I'm sure.
I actually love the snow and cold weather. I also like the idea that Camp Vermont is "closed" for the winter.
I am sure there will be many photos of snow in the next several months!
:p ;)
Yay!!! A forum where I'm not alone in my LOVE for SNOWWWW! I always end up being the weirdo in the crowd.
Now my poor little mint plant that Mom gave me that i never set free... I still have to winterize it. Should putting it in a 5 gallon pail with lots of shredded paper do the trick? (It's currently in one of those small thin plastic temporary pots with all the holes. Sitting in a ceramic salad bowl.)
I love SNOW too! I wish it would come here. It's 75 degrees today  Hard to believe it's supposed to be in the 40's this Friday.
Allentown just got it's first snow of the season today!! WHOOO HOOOO!!!! It's still snowing now too. We've accumulated maybe 1 or 2 inches, but it's heavy and wet. Maybe we'll actually have a snowy winter this year!!!
We got our First snow last weekend, and it was pretty! You know that nice wet snow that just covers everything, and just looks gorgeous!!
It is snowing right now, and I love it!!:D
I also slipped and fell on my butt in it, with Zachariah in his carrier and my McDonald's in my other hand, lol. The fries and the cat were safe though! Only my butt was wett from the snow and leaves!
;) :p Well as long as the Fries & Kitty was just fine.. Those are the priorities here.. :D However I am glad you were ok also..Quote:

No snow here yet, only flurries. I wouldn't mind if my neighborhood closed
down for a few days. If I have notice that a heavy snow is comming, I can
plan for it.
SOB!!!!
I want snow...I am so homesick....
She is a cutie, isn't she? They live WAY outside the city, and yes, that wood is fuel-to-be!Quote:

Hey, we got snow today!!!!!!! Wheeeee! Not a whole lot, but a dusting, anyway! It's mostly gone now, as it turned to light rain afterwards, but I was excited. I'll see if any of the pictures I too came out later - most of the trees still have their leaves, so snow on scarlet, cranberry and butter-colored leaves is very pretty!
Oh dear. It was over 80 today in SC. Darn it. It is supposed to turn cold again over Thanksgiving day. If we get rain, I will be happy. We are still in major drought here.
Enjoy your snow, everyone!

We had almost 2 inches on the ground the day after Thanksgiving.
Buddy was able to make his first snow angel of the year! He was a happy happy boy!!
No snow here. I wonder why not? Too hot here in FL perhaps. :D
We are still running the A/C in the house. :(
