Meet Max :)

I know I came back to this site to share sad news, but I thought I'd share the happy stuff as well. I've had 2 new additions to my family since I last spoke with you all (one dog and one cat). I started fostering Max (the dog) almost a year ago, but he's here permanently now. He had been abandoned at an old house. He had a padlock on each end of a short chain and no food or water. His hair was almost completely gone and he was a mess. Despite everything, he LOVES people and nuzzles his way into anyone's lap. He was a bit hyperactive at first since he was just about 7 months old and had been cooped up so much. His eyes melted my heart so I took him on as a foster, with every intention of finding him the perfect home. Since he most likely has Pit in him, not many people were interested and in the whole process of looking for a home, I got too attached to him. So long story short, the goober is mine :)

Awww Max is sooo adorable! Congrats on the new addition, he definitely looks happy to be with you! I especially love the pics of him in the shirt with the remote and him outside. Totally cute :D

Oh, Aly it is so good to see you posting again. I hope this means we will see you more often. Max is absolutely adorable. It is great that you have rescued again. I hope we will get to see more pictures of him and Reece soon!

What a happy face, and a handsome boy!! He prolly had no idea what happened to him when he landed in your lap from a heap of chains. That is the best kind of story and congratulations to the two of you!!! :cool: :D

Max is absoutely adorable! I can really see his personality in the pictures. I see a lot of pit in him also. The breed is so much fun, such happy clowns. Bless you for taking him in and giving him such a happy home. :D

Oh Aly! Max is just perfect! He looks like a big sweetie, and such a love bug! :) It's sooo great to see you back on PT again! I think we all missed you!

He is such a cute dog! I can see why you just couldn't part with him. I hope he brings you much happiness. I'm so glad he found someone like you to let him know what true love can be.

Well he sure looks happy now! And I just know, somehow, that Kay Ann's Simba will be proud of you for adopting Max! Now you have a smooth tan doggy and curly tan doggy (Reese), too!

Aly, it is so good to hear from you again and learn what has been going on in your life. Max looks like a keeper for sure. I can see why you couldn't do otherwise. I love this picture.

ALY!! How wonderful. I too ended up with a rescue after several of mine left for The Bridge within a short period of time. Guess what, she (Lucy) was "supposed" to be an Aussie mix. Sort of looked like one as a little pup. Lo and behold as she grew (just turned a year) the Pittie mix is coming out!! Aren't they wonderful!! So where is the kitkat??

A sad story with happy ending...that's the kind I like!!!

He reminds me very much of my brothers "found" dog Maynard. He's also a sweetie like Max.

You two are so lucky to have each other. He really is a doll. I'm very glad you've shared him with us:D

Oh, Aly, I am so sorry that I didn't know about you losing Lolly - I know how much she meant to you and I would have never brought her up had I known. Christy and Jasmine and Dominic are living with us while Brian is in Iraq and of course they brought along Dakota, Destiny and Sierra. You can only imagine what life is like with 8 dogs, 2 kids and a puppy (yes, I got a new puppy because life was getting so dull). I wish I would have gotten to meet Lolly and Reese when you visited Christy and me in Texas (and Jasmine and the dogs).
