Lillycat's Gracie

I am so sad to relay that we lost the 5 month old tabby kitten on Wednesday. Gracie came to Lillycat through my sister, Jessica. Jessica had found her in a gas station parking lot, sitting there, with her head on the pavement. She was very sick.

Lillycat nourished her back to health, and had her spayed a week ago Friday. Things went drastically wrong. Gracie had a chronic condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and as a result of the stressors of the spay, went into heart failure. We tried everything possible, everything, and sadly, she just wasn't getting any better. We had her PTS on Wednesday. The vet tech said, "she was SO ready".

So sad, such a short life for such a dear little girl. Even at the cardiologists, undergoing a ultrasound, she purred and purred.

She really brought some spice into a house of older cats, and we all miss her dearly.

Gracie, in such a short amount of time, and for one so tiny, you made such an impact on us.

She was lucky to be with people who cared before her short life ended. She is now a healthy little kitty @ the RB. She is now a little guardian angel!!

It is said so often, but so true...that this little one at least knew love and care, and had something to PURR about!

She was loved, and she loved in return.

I am so sorry she went so young, and had all those conditions wrong with her.


She is a healthy and happy kitten again, frisking at the Bridge!

Awwww! This is so sad. She will be restored to helath and have eternity to play and be happy at RB. RIP little one.

She Was So Young So Shes Now An Eternal Kitten Angel And Will Be A Kitten, Full Of Life For All Eternity.
And She Wants Her Guardians To Know That Shes Already Selected A Restaurant Where She And Her Dear Family Will Be Reunited.

I'm so sorry about Gracie, who knew "grace" and love and kindness even if only briefly. She'll get to play after a long rest and she now knows peace.

My guess is God needed an Activities Director for the Older Kat Retirement Center at
the Bridge ... sounds like Gracie was a natural for the position.

I am so sorry for little Gracie and for Lillycat and all your family. But I am glad Gracie had not to go in this parking lot but was loved and had some good times.

It is so terribly sad when such young ones have to go. I am so sorry for the loss of Gracie, but so grateful for all that your family did.

Lillycat and Johanna, I am so sorry that Gracie left you too soon. :( I like the idea of her livening up heaven, though, with all of our darlings who got there before her. :)

Say hi to Miley girl for me. Give her a kiss for me. Hope you had a safe trip to RB and you'll be pain free forever and ever.

How sad to lose such a precious little one after nursing her back to good health. You just never know when you do rescue what kind of underlying problems they may have. She sure was a lucky little girl to have someone who cared and loved her in her short time.
