What I saw, they tried to lead him out, and he started shouting and screaming. Were they even arresting him before he started screaming and trying to run, I think they were trying to escort him from the building and he flipped.
The police we trying to control the situation and I heard the woman saying over and over "stop resisting, calm down".
I LOL'd at the "someone come with me, in case they try to kill me", what a cry baby. :rolleyes:
I heard Kerry say, "It's okay, let me answer his question." The kid didn't start flipping out until after the cops tried to escort him out of the building.
Not once did I hear anyone read him his Miranda rights. If the kid was smart, he would've kept his mouth shut and asked for a lawyer. Obviously, school didn't teach him much.

Why exactly is he being arrested anyways?
I to think he was initially just being escorted out of the building.... not actually arrested. Until he started to fight back into the room repeatedly. At which point I think they were going to arrest him.
I don't know why they were even removing him from the room but if he had just left he wouldn't have been arrested but instead he fought and fought and fought and they finally put him under arrest.
I don't agree with the way the whole thing went down but he sorta signed his own death warrant when he wouldn't give in and just leave.

It's my understanding that there was a limit on the number of questions and the time allowed to ask the questions. The student kept going on and on without allowing room for the first of his questions." It appears that he pushed the limits and police attempted to calmly escort him out at which case he escalated the scene after disobeying the rules of the forum.
The police took it too far, but so did the student. Lesson learned? Be respectful, ask legitimate questions, sit down and wait for an answer. Everyone else in the room figured it out.

The cops tasered the wrong guy. They should have tasered Kerry.

there were screwups by both parties in this case.
The "cops" or whoever they were asked him to limit his time. He copped and attitude and kept going. They gave him more time. he kept going and going and when he was asked to step away from the mic he refused.... I am sure there were others with questions.
Should they have "handled" him the way they did? no they shouldn't have. He should have had his questions answered. he didn't say anythign out of line but after being ASKED to limit his time he didn't. I'm sure others had questions and wanted to participate as well.
My impression was not that he was placed under arrest immediately. they were going to escort him out of the building and he went nuts and started fighting back. he should have just shut up and left and sought out a media source for the rest of his "ranting" but he fought back and wouldn't quit. At which point he was causing a disturbance and resisting and so they placed him under arrest which he also resisted.
I am really on the fence about this one.
I think EVERYONE screwed up.
I am so disappointed that the students did not jump to his defense. They outnumbered the cops and could have easily taken control away from them. This was a complete misuse of a police power. How awful.
The should have tasered him three times....
Once for being obnoxious.
Twice for asking not to be tasered, Bro!
and Three for wanting to talk to Kerry. :D
