My Inka is 5 years old!!

Inka's birthday is at the end of august, but due to my surgery I couldn't open a birthday thread earlier...... . But I assure you I did spoil her that day with extra tuna :)
My dear Inka turned 5!! When we found out about her CH (celebrar hypoplasia), we never thought she would get older than 2 !
Our Inka is a brave little fighter, she never gives up trying difficult things like jumping on the cat-tower!

CH is cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological disorder that affects a cat's balance and coordination. A kitten might be born with it if its mother had distemper while pregnant. It can't be "cured," but otherwise the cat's health is as good or bad as any other cat's, and if the environment is accommodating the cat can live as long as any other. Some cats are more severely affected than others. (Did I get all this right, Laura?)

My Elmer is about a year old now. He wobbles when he walks and falls over easily, but that doesn't stop him from going where he wants to go and doing what he wants to do. He loves to get into wrestling matches with his big sister Poppy, and he gives as good as he gets!

Amy (Laura's Babies) and Taccoa (lvpets2002) are two more CH kitties here on Pet Talk.

Here are a couple of pictures of Elmer. He spreads his long legs out and waves his tail around to aid in balance.
