Anyone interested in goin to the Husky Hike this year?
Last year was fun, it was a wonderfuly crisp fall day and was also bittersweet because we had Sherman and Bowser there with us. :(

THANKS!
We thought about all of you guys, too. :(
Wouldda been a lil *tuff* being there without my wanna-be Husky tagging along ~
but hopefully he was there trotting along with his Big Buddies on the Hike.
We all "did our thing" at the Fire Station on Saturday ...
County Health Dept decided we'd get the Fall Rabies Clinic
(we usually do it in the Spring.) :rolleyes:
October 6th was the only day Doc Lisa (our "FREE" Vet) had an open Saturday.
OK - we'll be there. :(
Set-up at 10:30 - rolled the Fiur Trucks OUT and set up tables, chairs, and the pooper-skooper.
Between 11:00 and 1:00 PM the folks that don't read flyers well arrived;
we served Bisquits to keep the complaints down.
Doc pulled in about 1:15 PM or so - almost On-Time at 15 minutes late! :p
We had a LINE from 12:00 till 3:30!
Health Dept Girls fillin out the Forms and accepting the $2.00 payments;
I unwrapped the Jabbers and tightened the needle; Dog Warden's Secretary "Loaded" 'em,
and poor Doc Lisa stuck 160+ Critters in a little over 3 hours!
She did a lotta "Road Trips" - following an owner out to a car/truck in the parking lot
to take care of the "Anti-Social" creatures.
She came back in once <shakin> her head as she dumped 10 syringes into the sharps container -
"TEN of 'em - two cars worth - and NONE of 'em were very happy!"
Parting *Shots* ??
Yup, the Host Doggies both got their Boosters as the last two customers.
I think we'd have ALL rather been at the Husky Hike!
:D
