I have a very special request. ANYONE ELSE??

Is there anyone who would be willing to send a post card to a little girl for a school project???

My 5 year old grand-niece, Anna, has just started kindergarten. And their first project is to have people send a post card to the school. The object is to see how many US states they can represent.

For privacy sake, I will only give the address to the school, along with my Niece's full name (her name needs to be on the post card) to people who PM me.

Now, I know we have a LOT of US states represented here at pet talk, and even other countries!! SO I sure hope you can spare just a little time and money to make Anna thrilled to receive these cards.

I should add, that the idea is to get 100 post cards in 100 days. So there is plenty of time to get your cards in.

So far it looks like:
Ohio, Massachusettes, Vermont, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Alaska, Tennessee, Canada, Scottland and Mexico are participating.

I did this for a boy in Texas 2 years ago. Long story, his mom knew someone who knew a friend of mine! :D

It would sure be great if anyone who sends a card could scan it and post a photo before sending (since we'll never actually see them).

No, the card can be ANYTHING. But it would be nice if you wrote "Hello from.....(wherever)" in the message part.

Jen answered my question!! I cannot find a post card from NJ, but I did find some cards from Cape Cod in my desk!! I will add a note that the card is from NJ!!!!

I put the postcard in the mail this morning. I didn't have time to scan it. It is a photo of the oldest log cabin in the USA.....In Grand Isle Vermont. I hope she has a fun time with this project.

I once had to do a "Flat Albert" project for a child. I had to photograph a nasty looking flat paper doll all over the city of Burlington. I had fun doing it, in the long run, but I certainly looked very stupid while taking photos of a cardboard person, sitting all over the parks, libraries, restaurants, banks.....ehehhehehehehehe....

Hope for lots and lots of post cards.
