I Found/Rescued A Pit Bull Puppy Yesterday! *pics* *3 videos added pg2*

My mother found this puppy on the way home from my house last night. She was in the road, shivering!

Of course I took her in(what else could I do). She was covered in red ants, and is red and swollen :( Her ribs showing, and her nails down past the quicks...

She is a little girl, I named her "Tosha". She is so sweet and cute!

I bathed her in Aloe/oatmeal Shampoo last night, and put bacitracin on her. The bites are on her face, ears, chin, belly, legs and genitals.

I am head over heels in love with her, but unfortuantely, I can not keep her.

BUT I did find her a new home, which she will be going to tomorrow. It is the vet tech/ secretary at my vets office. She called to confirm my appointment, and I told her about Tosha. She already has a pit bull pup, and she wanted a friend for hers. She will be treated and spayed, and INSIDE ONLY! except of course, to use the potty.

So anyways, just thought I would share her with you all... Tomorrow is going to be one VERY SAD day for me. BUT a great one for her...

My goodness, what an adorable puppy! I'd want to keep her, too. And I can sympathize with the poor thing on those red ant bites. I was on a missions trip/Katrina relief trip in Mississippi a few weeks back and the red ants were terrible. Bless you forr taking her in and finding her a forever home.

Tosha- Good luck in your new home, baby girl. I know it seems so early in your life to need a fresh start, but you got one anyway. Here's hoping you have a long, healthy life in your new home. Hugs and kisses to you, sweetie.

What a cutie patootie! She even looked ready to use the potty INSIDE! :D She looked so content on Rickie's stomach, after her bath. I know giving her up is going to be hard, but you all did great. Have fun in your new home, precious little girl!

She went to her new home today... I miss her SO badly, and I am questioning my decision.... Must be the greed in me :( I KNOW she is going to a loving home... But it still does not make it hurt any less.

Bye bye my Tosha baby... I did not have you long, but please dont forget that I loved you first...

And yes, I will be allowed visits with her ;)

Yes. I got an update today from Jen, her new owner. Said that her husband is off all week, and is staying home with the puppy. Only ONE accident in her home, other pets LOVE her, and she is really just a good puppy.

She is going to the vet tomorrow for her first vaccinations and deworming, and I am going up there, because I forgot Toshas 3 favorite toys, and her kennel pad. So I get to see her tomorrow :D I am so excited, I miss her terribly!

Forgot to add she actually has 2 doggie siblings (a older great dane, and a 5 month old pit bull puppy... And 4 kitties, which she ADORES!)

Oh, my. She is tooooo adorable. I love pittie puppies!! They have so much personality that shows at such an early age!! Great save Katie!! I know you miss her, but you did the right thing and I can't wait to see future updates and pictures as she grows. I just love her little bark!!

yeah, I can finally see the pics. She is an absolute doll. She must have been really hard to part with even though it was such a short time. I love her little bark. I also like that she looks like to different dogs depending on what side you are looking at. She has a beautiful face. I surely hope that you get to post pictures of her as she grows, I would love to see them. Good job saving this baby girl and finding her a good home. ;)
