Count down to Muffin's 1st Birthday!!

Muffin will turn ONE in 10 days!!!!!

I can't believe my little Muffin will turn 1 soon. I have loved her since day 1, and love her more and more everyday. She's added so much fun to my life that it's hard to remember what it was like before she became part of it.

Here she was at 1 week old when I first met and felt in love with her instantly!

Sleeping on Mommy's lap @ 3 weeks old.. I loved every pieces of her, specially her four little white paws, her round little tummy & her little belly button.. Lookit her tiny tongue sticking out :p . She has always been a little joker, and is continue to bring so much laughters into our lives.

Muffin will turn ONE in 8 days!!!

The time came that Muffin was 8 weeks old, and ready to come home with us.. On the morning that I picked her up, I took these pictures. She was such a curious little pup, always on the look out for something interesting..

I could only guess what she told her mom before she left her. Probably saying that she loves her very much, and would never forget her.. Or, maybe all she said was Mommy, why can't I come up?

Here she was on her first day home with us. She was a little shy & unsure of her new environment for the first few minutes (specially with the M&M barking a storm at her), then made herself right at home. Now that she knows she's the little princess of our home, she has everyone, including Mocha & Missy, completely wrapped around her four little paws..

Muffin was pretty low maintenance. She didn't even need a bed to sleep..

Muffin received all her lessons from big sis Missy. Mocha didn't want anything to do with her at first, but Missy took her under her paws immediately. Missy seemed to have the maternal instincts that she understood what Muffin needed, and responded accordingly.

By the time these pictures were taken, Muffin had only been with us for a few weeks, but looks how close she was getting to Mocha & Missy.. They absolutely adore each other. As their mommy, I'm blessed beyond measure.

Yup. I sure am. The invitation had been sent out to all my nieces & nephews :), some special toys & treats had been purchased (but are hidden away for now)..

All I need to do now is to go get her the birthday hat, and figure out the way to get in on her :)

I do have one HUGE problem, though.. My card reader is missing, so while I have tonssssss of new pictures on my camera, I cannot download them to my computer :(

You guys may have to wait until I find my card reader, or get the new one, for the birthday pictures. I do promise to take lots & lots of them.

I've learned so much from my little Muffin since the day she came to be with us... She's taught me all these, and more:

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy ride!!

Allow the experience of fresh air and wind in your face to be pure ecstasy!

When loved ones come home, always run to meet them.

When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.

Let others know when they've invaded your territory.

Takes naps and stretch before rising.

Run, romp and play daily.

Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you're not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
