Friday's the Day!

Gizzie's spay is Friday :D.

I must say I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

Maybe she will finally calm down, but I can't help but worry about her a little.

Keep her in your thoughts?

Hey Bri! Of course she'll be in my thoughts. I am so glad that she is finally getting spayed, it will be so much better for you and for you and your mother:) I will be praying that the surgery goes well for her:D

They might not even be able to get that hyper girl to sleep:p

Bri - does Giz have to not be fed after a certain time, like midnight, for her spay?

As we say around our clan, Gizzy doesn't even know she's broken, but Friday she's getting fixed!

Bri, I will ask about withholding food and water after midnight, tomorrow, but I think you need to plan on doing that. The others will be ok for the short while before she goes to the vet. I plan to call Susan at Northridge tomorrow morning and your mom, too,, and will look forward to hearing that Gizzie is just fine on Friday after her spay. :) One down, 3 to go!!!

We were always told to with hold the food from midnight before the surgery.

when I called to make an appointment, they told me no food after midnight but water is fine. I know different vet offices are different but working as a vet assistant before, always no food after midnight for the next day.

will be thinking of you gizzy! hope this is for the best. :)

Thanks everyone! Logan called Northridge to confirm that she would be paying by credit card and they said no food or water after midnight.

It is all going to be just fine, Bri. :) :) I just know it!

I'll call at 8:30 in the morning and pay the fee and your Gizzie will be so much less active after this is over. When your mom described her "wailing" in the middle of the night, I remembered the same thing from our Shrimp Boat and Mimi, when they went into heat. I worried that every male cat in NC was going to be on my balcony, looking for Shrimp Boat, when she started up! Ha Ha!!!! That was over 20 years ago, but it was horrible, especially since she wasn't supposed to be in my apartment!
