Since Amy is kinda buisy with Nebo [the decided name of her Husky pup] and her connection is slow, I'm going to post the pictures for her.

Well here's some more about him. He was born on March 23, 2002. He came to my house today (July 13th). His mom is a light red sibe, and his father is a black/white sibe with gorgeous markings. Their names are Kiara and Kovu. He does not have AKC papers, but he's the pup I fell in love with so I don't care. I'm not planning on breeding/showing, he's going to be neutered as soon as he's able to (shh don't tell him that!)
When he first met Reggie, he was so scared he peed on the floor. By the end of the day he was barking at him lol. Right now they are both asleep by my feet. I'm surprised how good he was with potty training today. Besides the Reggie incident, he didn't go at all. And when I took him outside he went right away...he even barked once to tell me he wanted out. He wasn't a huge fan of McKinney. McKinney is VERY hyper, and he likes to chase dogs...bark constantly at them...and get in their face. At first they weren't too bad, then I think Nebo had all he could take.
When I put water in his bowl I discovered I have another water loving dog. He can't just DRINK the water, lol...no he has to put his paws in it, and splash....getting it all over the floor. So we bought him a little swimming pool, and he thought that was great. (Mckinney was hilarious--he jumped right in, laid down, and started splashing with his front paws!)

NEBO NEBO NEBO..... Welcome to Pet Talk! You are one very cute little guy. I just love those blue eyes and the marking on your forhead looks like a Flur di lis (Boy Scout Symbol) and is so adorable. And we must mention the size of those paws!!!! WoW! they are so big for that little body! It is going to be fun watching you grow into them! Tell mamma to keep the pictures coming!! :D
Amy, congratulations on your new pup! He is absolutely adorable. Are you planning on getting him enrolled in a puppy kindergarten class soon? The more socializing he gets now through 16 weeks is very important for who he will grow up to be! You can never overdo in that area. Have fun!! And smell some of that wonderful puppy breath for me!!!! :D :D :D
They pictures are beautiful and Nebo is so sweet and cute! It will be fun watching him grow! He looks like he is having so much fun with McKinney in the pool. Boy will McKinney be surprised in a couple of months to see his playmate is no longer his size. LOL! :eek: Your niece is adorable too!! I don't think there's anything more precious than a child playing with a furkid!
Oh Amy, Nebo is ADORABLE!!! What a beautiful, beautiful face!!! And those paws!:eek: What fun he must be having with so many furry and 2 legged pals to play with!! Not to mention his very own pool!!:) I'm so thrilled for you both!! Lots of love to you sweet Nebo! Cody says "Welcome to the world, Husky pup!!"

Okay first reaction was a very loud awwwww!! good thing I'm downstairs and have some music playing otherwise I might have been told to shut up :) He's adorable Amy, what with the markings and the eyes he's gonna be a charmer and you can tell he knows it, he's got that sort of look in his eyes.
Congrats Amy :) Nebo is too, too cute. I am so jealous that you get all that endless supply of puppy breath :) I wish you many, many years of happiness from that lovely boy. I also agree with Candy, this is the best time to start his training and it will make him grow up with better manners and it's SOOO bonding :) It'll make him worship you :)

Thanks everyone! Yeah I really want to get him into one of those puppy kindergarten classes. I looked at a paper about it at Petsmart. It says they have to be 10 weeks though, so I'll have to wait a bit...plus I will be gone for 2 weeks at the end of this month anyway. But man it's expensive! $89? Or am I just cheap? How much did you guys pay? Do you know of any other places that offer classes? He is a bit snotty though, and I don't want him to have issues with other dogs. He likes to play with Reggie/Smokey, he really submisses to them and just paws at them (too bad they don't want to play also lol). But he has growled and went for McKinney, and I'm not so sure he was playing.
Yesterday he got to explore by a river, and today we went to Petsmart/Petco with Melissa and Lady. He liked Lady, but I think she was a bit too big and wild for him. I tried to let him meet a bunch of people (he's definitely an attention getter) and dogs.
Right now he's in the kitchen...been sleeping for the past hour or so. Here's a pic of what he looks like right now. :)

$89 sounds about right for puppy classes. The classes we have taken range from $-85 to $95 for a 6 week long, 1 hour per week class. It is money well spent!

$89 is very inexpensive. When I first got Kersey I enrolled her in Petco because the school that I liked alot didn't offer classes right away. Her class there was $89 and that's quite cheap compared to any of the higher end schools. The obedience classes that I have Kersey in now are $145 for 8 weeks. Her first class with this school was $175 but that was the most expensive class. Her current agility class is $100 for 6 weeks, but every class from now on will only be $80 for 6 weeks.Quote:

Obedience is expensive but it is well worth it, as long as you do your homework. I personally find them worth every penny, especially when there are behavioral issues. I think it's really important to enroll Nebo in a class and I recomend continuing his training for another class or two if you can afford it. You will be greatful when he's full grown and strong willed, as well as strong bodied!!! :) Good luck :)
