Another kitten.. Update 04/23/07 with pics! Post 22

My aunt found this kitten outside her house. The mother moved the rest before I could get to them. I am going to start my search again tomorrow. I am now baby bottle feeding this little prince *rolling eyes* But I must admit, he is kinda cute! And just about as spoiled as he can be already! Last thing i needed on my plate right now. But I guess when I look into his eyes, all I can think of is "suck it up and do the right thing". Anyone want a baby kitten?

The mother is a feral. i asked my mother if I could use the trap to get her and spay her. The other babies my aunt saw, they got rained on and the wind was up to 70+ MPH yesterday. I wanted my mother to take them all yesterday, but she didn't. She only took this one. She said he looked the "healthiest". :mad: Dont get me started on this situation, I am still fuming over the whole thing, and how it happened. BUT atleast this little fella is safe, and I pray I can find where they were hidden. I dont want them to end up street cats like their mother.

Forgot to add.. He has a vet appointment tomorrow at 4:00 Pm. I think he has a slight URI. We will see.

He is a cutie! Don't fall in love with him! LOL

It looks like you have taken on a more than full time job, and unpaid at that. How on earth are you coping? Thank you for taking care of this little one, he's very sweet. Do you have any contacts to use in order to find all these rescues homes?

Aww, what a little cutie!!! :p From now on he'll think of you as his mom, so you CAN'T let him go. ;) And yes, he does seem healthy and active. :D

I hope you find the mom and the other babies, and then a very loving home for them all - that is if you can't keep them. I would love to see him grow up here on PT!

I wished I lived close to you! I would take him for the week before I have to go back to work! He is so adoreable and that one with his mouth open like he is screaming "PICK ME UP!" is priceless!

how little the kitten is - but check out those claws! kt_loves_kitties, I hope you find kitten's mother and siblings. I hate to think of mother outside meowing for the kitten and being unable to find him.

He's a cutie alright. Mom is probably really worried, though, wondering where he is. And he's probably missing her, too. Good save!

Thank you everyone for your nice comments. Baby boy checked out well by the vets. No worms believe it or not. Healthy other than a slight URI. He is on Amoxi 2 x daily until gone. He weighs in at a whopping 5 ounces. Very sweet, LOVES his baby food, A/D prescription food and of course, his bottle. He gets the bottle more than anything. Slow going.

He has had 2 poops. One perfect and today a messy one. Needed a butt bath. I must say he was HIGHLY insulted after the fecal. lol Poor little guy.

Anyways, still cant find momma or the other babies. She took them and hide out well. I just pray that they are ok, whereever they are. I am still going to go daily and look. Once they get old enough to run, catching them is close to impossible. That area is heavily wooded and has cars racing past all the time.

Lizzie, still no contacts. No prespective offers for adoption. I am currently at 15 cats. (including my own). It is a full time job. But once it is over I will miss each of them so much. My heart breaks just thinking of it....

He is so cute - it would be too easy to get attached. It looks like he has blue eyes - are they really that color? Have you found the mama cat & other babies yet? :)

Wanted to update that he is now getting his own little teefers! He is walking, and even trying to play. He only gets 2 bottles a day now, eating his wellness canned food through a dropper, and LOVES to be cuddled and get his tum tum kissed.
Seems like he grows so much over night! I will post another update with pictures soon!

He is absolutely adorable and to top it off, he likes to cuddle, I would be in heaven.

Still looking for momma and babies, with no luck. I am starting to think that it scared her away for good... But Baby is doing great, growing like a weed. Eats like a pig, regular in his movements, mouthy! I just love this little guy! He is such a character, and I look forward to showing him off *smirk*...

No seriously, you are doing a great job, I admire you. It's certainly not easy with a tiny tiny kitty. My tigger (ginger and white one) was abadoned in some woods and thankfully my hubby found him. Long story short, after a few illnesses and a couple of touch and go situtations he is now fighting fit....as you can see from my signature!

Now that sure is one adorable little heart thief, he sure stole mine! How sad that there's no sign of mommycat, I hope mommycat and his fursibs are somewhere safe. Has the baby been looking for his mommy?

Momcat, he was only about 3 weeks old when he came here, so No not too much. He cried at first, but we got him a big poodle slipper and a warm rice sock inside, and I think that he felt more comforted. He still tries to nurse my nose, mouth, fingers, toes, ears and clothes! lol But I think he probably has forgotten or pushed that back in his memory by now. :confused: He sure acts happy!

Candace, I knew that someone on PT had a black Cole, but I did not know it was you! How funny! I think he is going to be a black/smokey grey kitty once he grows a bit. He has slight tabby grey prints on his belly! If he looks only HALF as handsome as your Cole once he gets bigger, I would be estatic! :D
