How Horrible!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED!!
(Hobbs is the town where my parents live, this is from their newspaper!)

MAN'S HORSES SHOT AND KILLED BY UNKNOWN ASSAILANT

Here's a Brief Run-down of the article:
Just after church, a man received a call from the Sherrif's dept. informing him that all of his horses had been shot. 2 were dead, 1 badly wounded.

They have no idea why this was done or who it was done by!

"Those horses were the only family I've got," Pruitt said. "(The shooter) couldn't have hurt me any worse if they'd killed one of my kids. It devastated me. I'm still numb. But I'm not too numb to beat the h*** out of them if I catch them."

The one living horse is in care at an out-of-town vet. She may or maynot be crippled.

Stories like that, and others recently posted, really make you wonder what has humanity come to. :( When people out there do those things, and think nothing about it is wrong. :mad:

I admire Pruitt very much for what he said. Why does awful things always happen to such good people?

I hate it when those things happen. I remember in High School some people came to our school and painted out cows blue ( I was in Future Farmers of America). We were so upset, I couldn't understand why someone would break in late and night to paint our cows.

So sad....it amazes me what people can do...especially to innocent, harmless creatures...it's so sad....

I have always relied on the fact that God knows who did these things and they will get theirs in good time.

Zippy Kat, we saw this on the news and it just broke our heart:( :( It is just so sad that someone would do this. The man who owned these lovely horses was so choked up and I was too.

The books still say, "Horse thieves shall be hanged...." and the sad part is, the crooks--IF CAUGHT--will probably only get a slap on the wrist. :mad: :mad: :mad:
