David proposed!

And, of course, I accepted! :) I'm so excited! We spent the last four days in New Orleans and he proposed while we were there. :) The ring he chose for me hasn't come yet, so he got me another, "temporary" ring...he told me to exchange the ring for some diamond earrings when I get the other one. ;) I already have a ring on my right ring finger, so, I would have to get it sized to keep it. I think I'll take the earrings, though. ;) Here's the ring I'll be getting in white gold...

And, the ring I have is a rectangular sapphire, surrounded by small diamonds with small diamonds down the sides. It's antique style and it's beautiful! I still can't believe it's the "temporary" one!

Anyway, our trip was wonderful! I may be posting photos soon. :) I just wanted to share my fun news with all of my pals at pet talk!

Oh, congratulations! My wedding ring has little sapphires in it, too - it's an antique, was Paul's grandmother's engagement ring, and was big enough to fit over the base of my thumb when I first saw it!

Thank you all for the lovely comments! :) I'm very excited! I think we'll probably just go to Cozymel to get married and have a celebratory get together for all of our friends and family. This will be both our second marriages, and we don't really care about having a big wedding again. Although I wouldn't be against it, it's just not the most important thing. So, I guess I have some planning to do! :) I can't wait to actually wear the ring he chose, I think it's so cool looking!

Something we find odd in nz, is that the financee never choses his girl's ring here, they always go out together and she picks her ring, i just noticed a different trend in the states,it is presented that way on movies too,is that how it is normally, just curious lol.

Carole, the ring I shared the photo of is my permanent one, I'm wearing a "temporary" sapphire and diamond one right now. I still can't believe it's not the best ring, because it's so pretty!
