Baby Pictures, just barely 24 hours old

Im always snap happy and suck at pics, so there are quite a few. You can see the tiny silver baby hanging on to life. He is at least half the size of the others. Has decent strength though. Basically he acts like he was just born still. I know they are only a day old, but it makes a huge difference in behavior. Hopefully he can keep up the fight and pull through, im still feeding him since he wont nurse. I checked everyone for dehydration by doing the neck thing and they seem fine. I think Snow only has milk in the farthest back and farthest front, so only 4 places. Anyways.. on with the pics

What a brave girl snow is, going through so much. I'm sure she'll make a wonderful mother.
I take it she'll be neutered as soon as possible to save her having to go through that again.
I hope you recover well Snow and your babies are all fine and find nice furrever homes :)

Awww......They are just Darling!!! Momma is gorgeous, and seems to be adjusting well. I sure hope the grey one makes it as it is just adorable!

Beautiful kits and Mom is a Looker as well! Good luck with them, and who knows maybe having them will finally help Snow like other kitties?. Maybe not, I love my kids but then again my son in laws are another story....... :rolleyes: ;)

I remember Emily saying that Snow had to have a caesarian; she wouldn't nurse or go near the kittens (even growling) for the first 24 hours or so...probably hurt!

3 are nursing now (see Emily's first post here) and the little one won't nurse, so she is still hand-feeding it. It is gaining in strength, but still very small, as the pics show...

I hope they spayed her when they did the caesarian...I would hate for Snow to undergo more surgery! :eek:

They are SOOOOO cute! All torties, and the little grey one is so sweet. I really hope Silver one makes it. "Hi-yo Silver, Away!" GO, little one!

OH MY GOSH! A PILE of calico's! How cute is that!!?? Prayers that the runt baby thrives and makes it. Mama looks like she is doing well after her ordeal and she is so lovely! What a wonderful family!

He didnt spay her. :( He said that he would have, but could not because of the way he had to make the incision? It was a long day and I didnt ask for an explanation. I will ask when she goes back.

They are so sweet,I have not followed her being pregnant,Congradulations babies are always a blessing,Why did she have to have a csection?Was it too much for her to handle?She looks great though!!!Hopefully she dont tear herself!Im praying for that little silver kitten he is adorable!Keep up the good work!

Snow seems to be doing very well now. She is improving in the mothering department more and more. Im sure in a few days she will get it all figured out. Silver baby (Im still back and forth on he or she) seems to be doing quite well. Gaining strength more and more. I can see a little change, like its feet are looking less bony and filling a little to look more like a paw. He still tries to nurse, I have not seen sucess yet, but it puts a lot of effort into it. Im sure within a few days it will be caught up. Its possible he has done so at least a little and I just having caught it. He did get a chill this morning and I had to warm him up, he was pretty lathergic at that time. It was becasue my son (only 2) had unplugged the extension cord to the heating pad. But thats why I watch closley. Im watching the others too because Snows supply seems a bit compromised from the c-section, seem some work and others dont.

ohhhhhhh..... what a cute little pile of multi-colored fluff! They are all adorable! I am glad that Snow is being better about the babies, but I bet you are right, she probably hurt at first from the c-section! I hope the little silver baby makes it! He/she is adorable!

Yes please keep us posted as to why he didn't. It doesn't make sense to me since the kittens are in the uterus, and that's what they remove when they spay. Totally baffles me. We frequently (at least on dogs) spay during a c-section.

The kittens are ADORABLE!! I really hope the little runtie makes it. Looks like mama is doing good with them now.
