Yes, both of my dogs are registered. Zoey and I show in AKC.
Well, I'm not, so I voted no. But my dog is. Does this mean I should have put Yes? When you go to their web site, people can get accounts, and dogs can be registered. Guess I mixed up.
my dogs are not pure breds, and even if they were there is absolutey no point to it for me. I am a mutt person anyways!:D
nope, Electra is pending AKC registaration, which I honastly hate the idea of, but as she was born in the US and her parents are not CKC, I am kinda forced to register her AKC before I can cross register her with CKC :( Blair is my only other regitered dog, and he is UKC and PSCA
Nope, all three dogs of ours are mutts. Even if they were all purebred, I don't see the point in having them registered since our dogs are just part of the family. We don't show them nor do we do agility or anything of the like. =]
Nope, none of mine are. None are from breeders, and Tango's a mixed breed. My Toller will be CKC (canadian kennel club) registered though as I plan on competing in a few dog sports with her and even if I wasn't, the breeder registers all of her pups.
Gracie is registered with AKC. The other two are not.
*shrugs* even if I could what's the point? :p
Nope, we're registered with CKC.
You'd get to compete in AKC events.Quote:

Nope, I'm a mutt-lover ;)
Nope. :) I am also a mutt lover and even if I did have a purebred dog, I don't think I would register my dog as all of them will be rescues. :)
Jenny is a mix ;)Quote:

My little shelter mutt? Nah
No, the M&M's aren't registered.. for obvious reasons! lol Registered dogs don't mean any more than a shelter dog.
Giselle's NGA reg'd and she has the tats to prove it ;) Lucky is your average BYB-bred pup so he has no registration.
I voted yes, since my two beagles are. But (obviously) my GSD mix pound puppy isn't.
My guys aren't registered because Kai came from a BYB and Kaedyn was a shelter dog.. but Kaedyn has his performance event number with the CKC (it allows us to compete in everything but conformation). Kai will get his PEN soon too.
My malinois girl will be registered with the CKC.
Noooooot yet. I will be (attempting) to register my little shelter mutt with the AKC (through the ILP thing) just so we can compete in agility and obedience but I probably won't get around to it for a while.
Not yet, Keva has AKC papers but I still haven't decided on a name so I can send them in. :o No real purpose to it, I'm not going to show or breed her, but I figure if I have them I may as well.
Nebo does not have AKC papers.......Sydney, I have no idea, my sister bought her, we just "inherited" her.
p.s. You can love mutts and have a purebred dog with papers too...I know I don't have a mutt, but I still love them!
Yup both of mine are registered with the AKC. I have their registration papers stapled to pictures of the dogs in case one were to ever be lost or stolen, I can claim rightful ownership without a hassle. Also, they are only in my name so there would be no doubt who they would go with were there ever to be a "separation" of ways in the family. Not that I forsee that or anything LOL, was just an insurance policy that they would go nowhere but with me. The main reason I registered them though was proof of ownership should they ever get loose, lost, or stolen and recovered. They place found or shelter dogs with area rescues, rather than put any down, so I wanted proof of ownership were that ever to happen.
Nova and Buck are both AKC registered. Luka is supposedly but I've never seen the papers. She was adopted from the humane society - her foster mom said that the original owners had her AKC papers somewhere but couldn't find them. Mandy obviously is not regisitered ;)
Finn had papers, but I never filled them out. Freckles was from the shelter and Dudley was given to David as a one year old. Not sure how he was obtained originally.
Nope, Molli's a mutt. Sam's purebred but I don't see any point if your not going to show.
Nope...My two (or rather my parent's two) current pups are both mutts and family dogs, and my future puppy will be FCI / UKC (UKC accepts BBS as a white shepherd...AKC doesnt, and neither do their clubs.)
Are there any dog and cat shows for mutts or non-purebreds only?
Anne
My two RB dogs, Lacie and Sadie, were AKC registered.
Lucky is, since her previous owner registered her.
Dante, my husband's dog, is ... although he has no idea where the papers are.
We never sent Rosie's papers in, and then hubby lost them. We're never going to breed or show her, so no one cared.
The rest of the pack are either mutts, or purebreds that came from shelters with no papers. They might be registered, but I have no way of knowing.
It doesn't matter to me, as I don't do any AKC events or breed.
I am not (Need to renew registration fee's), Clover and Harri are registered though..Harri on main, Clover on associate (For mutts and unpapered purebred dogs).
None of my dogs are-5 of them are mutts, my GSD came from a shelter, and Romeo came from a friend's litter. If I ever get my butt in gear with agility, it's possible that I could get an ILP registration for Romeo if I wanted to compete AKC.
Mine is registered with the CKC(Canadian Kennel Club) Eventually she'll be registered with the AKC.
Yes there are, for dogs at least. http://mbdca.tripod.com/ is the website for the mixed breed dog clubs of America, see if there's one near you. :)Quote:

For conformation..."The conformation standard is designed to promote a happy and healthy family dog and focuses on general soundness and balance as well as excellent temperament and manners...."
They are also involved with agility, search & rescue, flyball, frisbee, and pet therapy. Any dog registered must be neutered. :) Overall, a pretty cool organization!
