Anvik learns to skijor

Anvik went skijoring for the first time today. He was great! I think he may be my new skijor racing buddy. Raven was my race dog but she has never recovered psychologically from a big crash we took a couple years ago. Anvik has his own psych issues, but they don't show up in harness! ;)

What a happy dog! I just love this pic. You just want to grab him and give him a big hug. He's the one you call mama's boy, right? That's why he's happy,because he was with you.

Love the pics! The one of you two together and the "Did I do good mom?" one especially. He looks like a really happy dog. Skijoring sounds like fun, I'd like to try it sometime.

He is a complete momma's boy! I actually wasn't sure he'd skijor. I thought he might want to stay right beside me!

Those pictures are beautiful, Tamara. Anvik looks like such a happy guy. He's a beautiful dog. I love the one of he and you together and the one right after that. Looks like he's smiling. :)

Gee, Anvik, that is some harness you need to wear for skijoring! I used to enjoy cross country, bet having your dog poer makes it really cool (pun intended!) I bet you see some wonderful country While you are out, too. Keep up the good work, buddy.

It's my regular dog sledding harness, an x-back style made for long, skinny dogs. It's brand new. Mom used a gift card she got for Christmas to buy it for me. I chewed through two other ones already! I hate waiting to run! Gotta chew something while I'm waiting! Mom won't put this on til just before we go!

I think Anvik has found is perfect sport! He gets to run, pull, lead, and spend time with just his mom! He looks so happy, it's great.
