Dang, wish I could meet some PTers, you are so lucky!
Say hi to Donna for me and tell her I miss her frequent posting and pming! ;)
I'l tell her, Miss Z, however right now her computer died and she won't be on as much. Donna and I have been "going steady" as much as two people can over the phone for two years. Donna is a beautiful person and if I ever marry, she'd be the one I'd marry!Quote:

Hey, what's this meeting? When and where? Depending on what part of Conn, can I come??? How come I didn't see a notice posted????
Sandra
It's been a cobbled-together sort of thing, and will probably be Saturday the 27th, we're still working our details, though, and of course it's all dependant on the weather, as the impetus for this is cyber-sibes driving out from Ohio (where she lives) to visit with her husband who has started a new teaching job in Newport, Rhode Island. So on the way she'll be going through PA, picking up David, and of course to get to Rhode Island, one must pass through Connecticut ... and is just south of Massachusetts ...
We'll let you know when more actually meeting details have been hammered out.
Hi, Sandra! This will be a get-together between myself, Cyber-sibes, moosmom, and Karen and Paul a week from next saturday. It'll be mainly in East Hartford Conn. This will be my first time meeting fellow Pters and I esepecially want to meet Moosmom as we like each other a lot! Maybe you can drop over!Quote:

GREAT! Looking forward to meeting some PTer!!!! Directions, please.
Sandra
Sent you a PM ...
Hey, what happened to Doreen???? ;) Joking, of course.Quote:

Enjoy your time. Meeting Pet Talkers is the best fun I've ever had. Have a great time everyone and travel safe. Remember to take lots of pictures.

Yah, it's been pretty quiet on the Eastern front. How about someone checking in.
Well, sadly, Donna somehow got the time of the meeting confuzzled. So, while the rest of us all gathered at 1, Donna and David arrived at 7:30, 3 hours after we had left. We didn't sit by the windows, as the heat was just coming on, but there was a nice view of the frozen Webster Lake (also known as, of course, Lake Chaugagoggmanchaugagoggcharbunagungamaug) outside. As it was pretty chilly out, we stayed inside, and none of us had brought our ice skates anyway. And our waitress took a group shot with each of our cameras - after some initial difficulty, as she wasn't used to digital cameras - so I'll let someone else post, as we all probably have about the same picture!
I will report, though, that Cyber_sibes (Pat) and JoeJo (her husband), Freedom (Sandra) Paul and I had a nice time. And there was a "surprise guest" ... anybody wanna guess who?
Pat and David will be heading back west tomorrow, and they'll probably post when they get home.

As for the Mystery Guest ... ... WHOM could dat be??
Maybe Laurie Baker - she turns up in distant places on occasion.
:p
C'mone - TELL us!
Nope, not Laurie ...
Any other guesses?
Not Laurie ... ??
OK - one of your Brudders - or a Spouse??
;)
Hi Everyone -
I really enjoyed meeting other members of PT, and was so sorry to miss Donna and David.
I have photos but . . . I don't use a digital camera. So need to wait until the roll is finished, developed and so forth. Someone else will surely post photos before me. We all had the witress take the same group shot, ha ha.
I never thought it possible for 6 people to chat non-stop about dogs and cats and pets for 3.5 hours. Now I know better! GREAT FUN!
Sandra
Okay, here's my photo-taken-by-the-waitress - please pardon the remnants of our meal on the table. We kept waiting to take a photo until Donna and David arrived, then finally gave up after the meal was over!
(with the surprise guest included):
This is a really hard quiz! I am off to consult the PT map thingy.
The MG certainly looks like a Friendly One!
:D
 I give up
I THINK I'VE GOT IT!!!!!! The gentleman sitting across from you, Karen, is your brother!!! Am I right???
Man! I think I'll be at work when you post next and there's no time for computer there   :(
VERY close, but no cigar . . . .
No, it's my dad! Mind you, given another 40 years or so, that may be what Lady's Human will look like, but that is our dad. I grew up - and Dad still lives - just one town north of Webster, so I invited him to come. Those present also got to see pictures of all my family's dogs since I was a little kid, too.Quote:

You didn't *wait* very long for more guesses! :(
HI, Dad!
*Nice* Kid you and Mom produced!!
:D
What a nice looking fella he is too!! :) It's a pleasure to meet you sir!! :)
Thanks for being so quick.....now I really have to leave for work!! :D
Oh how nice of your Dad to come along! That was lovely. :D
So do we get any of those little Karen photos posted??? :D

I was able to spend more quality time with Donna and to get to know her a little better. I was able to bond with Mooshoo, Shorty, Maya Lyn, Molly Rose (who took to me right away!), and Winky! After our little escapade in Massachuetts, we came back to East Hartford and ordered Chinese food and watched a movie and basically had a real good time and got to know her a little more. I had a blast by just being with her! BTW, Cyber-sibes took a picture of Donna and I hugging each other at our historic first meeting!
Thats great David! and how did Mooshoo take to being abducted LOL!
I am so happy for both you and Donna! Nothing like having great friends and terrific people in life! and it seems you met several this past week! :p
Stay warm and I hope the WebTV thing works out for Donna!
Well, the web tv didn't quite work out. We tried, but there are some connections to her digital tv that prevented the web tv from being hooked up. Dr. Goodnow, if there was room in the suitcase I wwould have taken both Mooshoo AND Molly Rose! She took to me as soon as she first saw me!Quote:

Slick, it wasn't intentional that we misread the time. We wouldn't traveled three three hours in New England trying to find the place. Slick, this was in no way against Karen and Paul. They fully understand that it was an error in timing and I very much regret that Donna and I weren't part of the festivities. I kind of resent you taking it that it was something against Karen and Paul.
Well, it looks like I got confused, as usual. Your post said "escapade" so that could mean anything. Didn't know it meant a long train ride. I thought the restaurant as very near Donna. What do I know about US geography?? Sorry.
Hi David, glad to hear you are home and safe! We will have to meet on another travel trip. How are your kitties? Happy to see you, or punishing you for leaving them? Sandra
I might be convinced to "liberate" a couple of choice pics of the mayor from our younger days next time I'm in Mass........ :p
