It was a really good movie IMO. I loved it because it had action parts, serious, drama/love parts and had some comedy in there too. I personally like it better than LotR only because LotR got boring at some parts and this one well...didn't. Plus, it has two major hotties. Johnny and Orli. Almost too much hottness for one movie! :p
I want to see it but no way is is going to be better then Lord of the Rings.Those are great movies. :)
I absolutely LOVE both of the movies! I went to see the second one in theatres. My best friend and I went to get our tickets 7 hours early so we wouldn't have to wait in line later. :p
I saw the first one and didn't like it much at all. I'm not going to even bother watching the new one.
I have seen both I really liked the first one it was really amusing the second one I wasn't too struck on as it is too fantastical for me. I am not big on all the out of the realm of the imagination things. Don't want to say to much as I don't want to spoil it for you.
My Dad downloaded the second one a while ago - I haven't watched it yet, though.
I enjoyed the first one, but I wasn't all crazy over it. It wasn't anything special to me - but it was a good movie.
They finished making the third one it's coming out sometime next year!!!

2nd, In the theatre then my dad bought the second movie last night on dvd.
All in all it's a pretty good movie and I look forward to the third.
Yay! Pirate fans! 169 days till AWE! Can't wait! I don't think it is completely finished, but it's getting there! I just wish they would give us a trailer of some sort! I mean, Harry Potter, Spider Man, The Simpsons Movie have all given us a small tidbit of the movie, but not AWE. Nothing. Oh well, mini-rant over

I loved the first one, but was extremely disappointed in the second. I don't know many people (aside from a few here on PT) who liked the second at all, most of my friends thought it was both a waste of their money and time. I personally thought the second was mediocre, but I am glad I saw it.
:p I've seen it and I thought it was horrible. I fell asleep in the theater among many others who wasted their money!
I completely agree with you on this one, Carol. I'm also tired of so much drama in the second one. In the third one another villian is coming, 3 villians they have to deal with, I mean come on?? 2 is where I draw the line. It was still a good movie and I love Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. :p Another thing I didn't like is that it was to "animated". There was so much effects and stuff, I would have liked it a little more realistic. I'm not saying that Davey Jones doesn't look real but alot of the parts were "animated" and gory, eww that was a little too much. :eek:Quote:

If you saw, Davy Jones locket, Tia's necklace and the Dead Man's chest all share the same symbol: a heart with two crab claws going around it. I'm sure that has SOMETHING to do with it.
Ok, I can keep going on for like...ever, but I'll stop here. I don't think many of you care as you didn't/don't like the movies anyway. :o :p
No way! Michelle is, In EVERYBODY'S opinion, a bigger fangirl than Monica. It was really good, but I still think I prefered the first. It was more believeable. A lot of the things that happened wouldn't have happened in *real* life. Like about 10 people coming back from the dead.Quote:

Well, our family has always been "into" pirates and things like that you know witchy things so of course we liked it. lol Sequals are NEVER better than the originals though.
Pirates 1 and 2 are one of the best movies, in my opinion. Jack always makes his grand entrance, although NO entrance can beat the one in the first Pirates. :D
I LOVED the first Pirates, bought it on DVD and watch it frequently!
Second movie seemed like it lacked ALOT in comparison. It's almost like they were in such a rush to get it to theaters while the fame lasted, that they just didn't put as much time into developing the characters. I didn't get much for laughs out of it this time as the character interaction was lacking (compared to the first one IMHO). I'm not really sorry I saw the second one but I was VERY dissapointed in it.
I will see the third one just out of curiousity to see how they wrap things up, but I don't expect much for my money.
Hands down the first Pirates was the BEST!!

Pirates of the Carribean, what can I say...ITS THE BEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME!
I loved the first one (Curse of the Black Pearl) - which is on USA Network again tomorrow and I intend to watch it :)
Have not seen the second one (Dead Man's Chest) - sorry GreyhoundGirl and dogzr#1 - I promise to rent it as soon as my DVD is up and running again!
I hope there's a third one in the works because I really like Johnny Depp in the role! And oh, yes, I'd be more than happy to go to Walt Disney World and have a turn on the ride that started it all. Yo, ho, yo, ho, a pirate's life for me...
I have seen both and like them a lot. I like the second one better because I think it's got more action. I LOVE Johnny Depp and how good he plays the part in this movie. He's my most favorite actor.
I've saw the first movie... way back when it came out in theaters. It didn't blow me away. I mean, it wasn't horrid or anything, but its not one of those movies I'd want to watch again and again.
I don't really have an desire to see the second movie, either.
