Winter is gone...

I know he wasn't a PT dog, nor was he my dog, but I loved him just as if he was my own. I know a few of you really liked him too, which is why I thought I'd post this thread. He was Tango's brother (my grandma owned him) and not even 4 years old yet. He was such a sweet boy. So well tempered, loving, and he could make anyone fall in love with him. In fact, he even made non dog people into dog people. He was just a wonderful dog all around. He woke up paralyzed on Monday night, was rushed to the vet, where x-rays showed that he had 4 slipped discs and one was completely blown. There wasn't anything that could've been done to give him back the quality of life he deserved. The good ones often seem to be taken away much too soon..

I am so sorry. Life just isn't fair. I can really see Tango in that first picture. What a sweet dog. Rest peacefully, Winter, knowing you were loved and still are.

Unfortunately they ALL go too soon=( Sorry for your loss of Winter. It's a better thing for him even though it's not for you guys. Your family did what you had to do, and that's the greatest love of all.

For sure, the goods ones ( like Winter) are often taken ---- way too soon.

I am so sorry for your loss, it does seem like all the good ones go before you are ready for them too, but unfortunately we are never really ready. It is a hard choice to make, but your family did the best thing you could do for him let him be at peace. You will be in my prayers.

I'm so deeply sorry to read that Winter passed to the Bridge. :( Maybe a quick departure from this planet is the best way, as sad and awful as it is for we hoomans left behind. I hope he didn't suffer. I'm ready to burst into tears. Safe Journey, precious soul.

What a shock! I remember you posting pictures of Tango and Winter, he sure was a handsome boy. My condolences to your family. I lost a dog who had just turned three, it feels especially sad to loose one so young. May Winter play happily at the RB.
