Carina has gone to the Bridge

Our longtime friend, Alicia (Albea), lost her Carina over the weekend at 14 years old. Carina was a very beautiful and special Golden Retriever.

Godspeed, Carina. We will all miss your beautiful face. :(

Prayers for Alicia to ease her pain.

Carina was a very lovely and very loved girl. She was every once a golden girl - when we met her just last summer (2005), she didn't have a single grey hair. She was a leaner - to my delight, and only her difficulty on the stairs gave any hint of her age, as she was quite waggy, gracious, and demanding of attention from visitors!

There was never a golden girl more loved, and Alicia, you will be in our prayers.

Extra sunshine at the Rainbow bridge now
Carina is there in all her Golden glory

She watches over you now, sending you
Golden hairs and wet doggy kisses

I am so very sorry for your loss :(. I always enjoyed seeing Carina's warm golden smile in your signature. May she run like a puppy again in sunny fields at the Rainbow Bridge. What a beloved girl she will always be.

Between Duke and Carina, I thought my tears were ebbing, until I read Phred's post.

Alicia, you know how I loved your Carina. She was one of the reasons I became active on PT and got Cody.

She was the perfect epitome of a sunny GR. I wish I could be with you. You were both blessed to have each other. my dear friend. I know Carina's memory will be in your heart and mind forever. I will never forget her either.

I am so very sorry to hear about your lovely girl. It hurts so bad to read that poem, but it makes such good sense.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I am so very sorry and wish there were something that I could say that would ease the pain, but little does except time. Carina was such a precious, gorgeous golden girl.

Oh, Phred, I just went back to read your post....I am in tears....big time.

I haven't been here for a very long time, this last months have been quite complicated, and didn't know until now that Logan had posted this message.
Thank you all for your remembrance of Carina. She was indeed a very sweet Golden girl, unfortunately her almost 14 year old body couldn't cope with all the health problems she had lately and I had to let her go.
She has left her pawprints in many hearts, especially mine.
Please give many hugs to all your pups from me.

Carina was a dog with a charter membership here at Pet Talk. She has been with us since the very beginning. A sunny and bright star (so typically golden) has passed to the Rainbow Bridge. Alicia, I can barely breath when I think of the difficult days you must have experienced as Carina approached the end of her time here on earth. I am so very sorry for the loss of this wonderful animal and understand there will be an empty spot not only in your home but forever in your heart.
