I haven't seen another female orangie.
Perhaps Sara's Tinky would qualify. :)
My Kasie is an orange female tabbie & I do believe the jazzcat's Scout is a female too.
Micheals eyes are wide open now.
He has been looking for an Orangie Girl Friend for a long time!!
My grandmother had a female orangie. Her name was Goldie. Three of her kittens were white. (I can't remember about the others. It was a very long time ago.)
Yes, my Scout is a female orange tabby. She has the marble swirls on her sides.
I had one and her name was Goldie too. She went over the Rainbow Bridge in April 2003. I still miss that beautiful girl.
Lotus, the foster is a female orange tabby. And my own Amber is a longhaired female orange.

Micheal is so happy.
He and Kasie are going to Cancun for a date.
They have a room at the Hilton Cancu, and I gave Micheal enough to ensure that he and Kasie can dine together at Cancuns many sea food and superb dining establishments.
I think that they will make a wonderful couple.

I know you can have female orange tabbies, but you can not have a male calico. Well, you can, but he will either have deformities, be sterile, or have other health problems :(
Actually I have heard male cats can not have more than three colors on them. If they do they are sterile, and its rare. :o
My orange female tabby, Ginger, is my avatar. I had no idea they were rare until I joined this forum. I keep thinking that she won't be with me much longer since she turned 20 in June and occasionally goes into a "loss of appetite" mode, but I've always been able to tempt her out of it - usually with something expensive that I wouldn't buy for myself, like everyone else on PT. She's still able to jump up on my high bed to join me and to smack other cats who come near me.
It seemed that all the orange tabbies i see are males(no offense to the boy orangies). We thought Pumpkin was a boy intil we found out she was pregent and had 6 kittens
Thanks for all the beautiful photos of the Orange Ladies!!!
yes I have one her name is angel all see if I can get a photo posted for you

Gary - how can Michael choose just ONE of these lovely ladie orangies?
Shouldn't he just date for a while and get to know them all a little better? :D
I hope he and Kasie have a wonderful time!
I can't believe that Mz Gini hasn't answered this thread. She has two adorable female orangies.....Mz Annie and Mz Emma. You can see their pictures here. http://67.15.70.205/talk/showthread.php?t=113890 :)
well it seems there are alot of female orange tabbies, and i haven't heard of any health problems. I had one and she died, and before th at she had many health episodes where I had to take her to the vet or Emergency vet. I still miss her alot. I was told it was because she was a female orange tabby and it was some brain disorder, well maybe someday I will get another orange tabby. I really loved that little girl kitty. she had a lot of spunk and I got her at 10 weeks old, had to have her put to sleep at only 13 months old, I didn't want to but it was best for her :(
so if you have a female orange tabby be glad they are healthy.
I love this Vitamin C thread! All your orangies are gorgeous! :)
Poor Michael, the choice will be hard! So which one of these girls will be your valentine? :p
We cross our paws and fingers for our old lady Ginger. I hope she still has some good time with her hoomans ;)
Ihave a female orange tabbie also. I didn't know they were rare.
Gorgeous orange girls!
Just a little fact.....80 % of orangies born are male.
My orangie has gum problems and my vet says that "red haired cats" often have this problem,
YES!! I think Tinky would qualify!!
Although.. she is not as birght an orangie as some of the other ladies here..

Tinky also has some white too, so is not full orange tabby. She is a beautiful cat!
I told Micheal about your idea Catty 1, and if it does not offend Kasie, hes certainly open to the idea of multiple dates.
He would love the idea of taking the Cat Ladies to different dining spots.

I'm a huge orangie fan and right now only have a male orangie.:) I also didn't know how rare they were until I became a member here. I grew up with a female long haired orangie named Puff. Her mother was also an orangie and her grandmother was a Calico. She had 2 litters of nothing but orangies and the father was also a short haired orangie that looked like Morris the cat. Here's a couple of pictures of her.

As far as I can remember, she didn't have any health problems but she did become much more moody as she got older.;)
