Eddie does this especially well. And as my office is tucked under the staircase it is even more effective in getting my attention!
I know what you mean about the herd of horses. When Groucho starts running through our place he sounds like a bunch of adult elephants.
Imagine, having ..... oh, *more than 10* kitties in your home, and a stairway too! :eek: :rolleyes: :D

It is one of the many amazing features of cats. They can stalk a sibling with dainty delicate steps, jump down from a cat perch with barely a sound as they continue to track the "prey." Then at other times, their exuberance comes through LOUD AND CLEAR.

Yes, I have experienced the thundering herd of horses effect. Not too much lately since Peanut is getting old, but when Tubby & Peanut were young.... :eek: :D :D
Makes one wonder if Carl Sandburg ever actually LIVED with a cat.
Of course, around here the fog usually comes in on big Siberian tiger feet. :D

I always figured that cats controlled the effects of gravity on themselves. They can land on a bed like a feather or a bowling ball - whatever they are trying to achieve. [BAM! Oh... are you awake?]
It is Snoopy's favorite game to run up and down our staircase!! No need of 4 good paws to do that :p ;)
I refer to my gang as RHINO's stampeding. I can assure you that the entire house shakes. :rolleyes:
